INTRODUCTION.

AT the solicitation of my wife whose maiden name was
Martha Anna Rowley, the compiler has undertaken
to gather a record of the descendants of her ances-
tors, being ■Moses Rowley on her father's, and of George
Warner on her mothei's side, so far as they relate to her
immediate relatives. It is not expected that this record is
complete, but is made with as reasonable accuracy as could
be expected without entailing large expense to one who is a
total stranger to a large portion of the parties named.
Should it result in a preservation of the record of her an-
cestors for the benefit of future generations the object will
be attained.

The following abbreviations are used: b. for born, d. for
died, m. for married, unm. for tmmarried, s. for settled, n. c.
for no children, a + before a name signifies that the name
appears again under the same number usually in connection
with their children.

Any person named in this book, can liave a copy witliout
cost on application to

H. S. RUvSSELL,

PiTTSFiELD, Mass.
