YEARBOOK MESSAGE FOR 1991
Greetings:
Congratulations on a terrific year at Fayetteville State University. I
hope that this yearbook will recall all the highlights of the year, and
remind you of the contributions you have made to your university.
During the past year, Fayetteville State received applause and recog-
nition for our improvements and accomplishments. As many of you
know, this is due in large part to the commitment of our student body.
Through your commitment to excellence in education, you have made
your mark on the university and have assisted in our record-setting
position.
I have truly enjoyed becoming good friends with many of you and it
gives me great pride to see the successes you've achieved. I see a new
spark of excitement, pride, and commitment in the eyes of our students
everyday, I believe it is because you see that we believe in you, and that
when you believe in yourselves, all things are possible.
It is my expectation that you will witness the benefits of your hard
work through the continued achievements of those coming behind you.
1 pray that each of you will leave Fayetteville State with an understand-
ing of the importance of your education and the responsibility of
commitments back to your communities.
Best wishes go with each of our seniors as you leave Fayetteville State
University to share your knowledge and skills with the worid. You know
that Fayetteville State will always be here for you, and we will look
forward to seeing you often.
To all others, I am eager to see you back on campus in the fall,
continuing the remarkable achievements you have already begun at
Fayetteville State.
Sincerely,
Lloyd V. Hackley
Chancellor
In front of the Rudolph Jones Student

Clicillerigss For Ifoung Minds
Academics is the most im-
portant part of a University, it is
important for students to main-
tain tfieir QPAs and to grow
vvith the knowledge that is ob-
tained during their years here.
Many facilities are available to help
students in their problem areas and
to help them improve the skills they
have. Students are encouraged to
do their best and to strive to be the
best in all that they do.
rSU is in an era of new excel-
lence and new improvements and
we as students along with the
administration are striving to be
the best. FSU, keep catching the
bronco spirit!!!!

GRADUATE STUDENTS
AT THEIR VERY BEST!
Graduate students do their best

THE HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS LIVE
AT FAYETTEVILLE STATE UNIVERSITY
The Harlem Globetrotters be
gan their journey into sports his
tory way back In the late 1920's
The team was created by a re
markable man named Abe Sap
erstein who got the idea that a
touring group of extraordinary
basketball players might catch
the publics fancy.
This is the Harlem Globetrot-
ters 65th anniversary, and they
came to Fayetteville, north Car-
olina to celebrate it with Fayette-
ville State University. The crowd
has to be delighted by the skills
of these talented basketball
players. They don't play serious
basketball all the time; they do
have fun doing their struts and
stunts.
