GOVERNMENT SALES TAX
The Government Tax, isiy% and applies on
all Merchandise.
FIRST ORDERS
In asking us to open an account, new cus
tomers should remember that their names may
not as yet appear, with satisfactory informa
tion, in the commercial reports. Therefore, to
save delay, please fill out definitely the in
formation blank to be found in front of the
blue order sheets at the back of this book,
mentioning as reference the names of other
wholesale houses with whom you deal on open
account, or of your banker. (When goods are
wanted immediately, it is well to send cash
with first order, as the investigation of refer
ences necessarily consumes some time.)
MAKING OUT ORDERS
Write your orders on separate sheets from
any other communication you have to make.
This permits both being attended to at once.
Always put prefix letter before number, as
given in catalogue, and write one item only
on each line.
You help to expedite the handling of your
orders when you group all goods of a depart
ment together. The letter prefixed to number
indicates the department to which an item be
longs.
SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS
Shipping instructions are, important. If you
are not located on a railway or a water route, be
sure and mention your nearest shipping point.
If there are competing lines, name your pre
ference. If express shipments, specify which
company serves your town.
Please note that we are strictly wholesale
merchants and manufacturers. Any merchant,
customer or not, who sees our catalogue or
advertising matter in the hands of anyone not
entitled to same will do us a favor by report
ing the matter to us.
