Subject: This book as a primary scouse.
Subject: This book as a primary scouse.
This book was writen by Muirel Hawker only a year after her husbands death. Its Moorabbin and early years content was provided by Harry Hawkers sister Maude Chamberlain. Maude had not been in the Moorabbin area for up to tweenty years and had made a collection of mistakes.
This book has also been used as a primary scourse for many Btitish and Australian historians. Works by L.K.Blackmore and Thomas Sheehy have many referances to Muriel Hawker.
I have found this work important in understanding of Harry Hawker the man. Confirmation has been prvided by the Australian relitives of Harry Hawker.
