TURNER CEMETERY
One mile south and two and one-
half miles east of Sharpsville.
An early day burial ground. A
man by the name of Praul who
froze to death was probably the
first burial and the second the
fifteen year old son of Messic
Turner, The lad was killed by a
falling tree. The place is no
longer used for burial purposes.
The plot is 4x6 rods and contains
about 50 graves. A mong the number
who have no markers are members
of the families, Smiley, Campbell,
McGuire,Chism and Cox. The last
person to be buried ther^

the Howard and Tipton
county line was a burial
place as early as 1844. The
children of Jackson Watts
and Thomas Scott, also a small
son of Clinton Gray who was
killed by a well pole falling
on him were the first bodies
interred in this sacred and
