Nathaniel and Rachel (Bradford) Jones,

Tpswieh. Mass., and some of their

Descendants.

Nathaniel Jones was in Ipswich in 1701.
That year lie married Rachel Bradford.
Nothing move is known of him, save the
statement made by his grandchildren, that
he emigrated from Wales. Two of his chil-
dren became gentlemen of estate and posi-
tion in their day : William, of Ipswich, and
Dr. Benjamin of Beverly. Among his de-
scendants of later generations may be men-
tioned Dr. Benjamin Jones. Lyndeboro, N.
11., Rev. William Thurston, Manchester,
Mass, Rev. James Bontwell, Dunkirk, N.
Y., Rev. Win. Thurston Boutwell, Mis-
sionary among the Ojibwa Indians, Wis..
Dr. Joseph Jones, Wcnham. and l\V\ . Jas.
Thurston, West Newton.

Of Rachel Bradford Jones nothing is
known — not even the place and time of her
bfeth, or the date of her death. We think
she was connected with the Bradford* of
Beverlv.
