teing perfect is about being able to

look your friends in the eye and

know that you didn't let them down,

because you told them the truth.

And that truth is that you did

everything that you could. There

wasn't one more thing that you

could've done. Can you live in that

moment, as best you can, with clear

eyes and love in your heart? With joy

in your heart? If you can do that,

gentlemen, then you're perfect/

A LETTER TO MY SON:

RYAN KRISTOPHER MOYE

Dear Ryan:

You are such a wonderful Blessing from God! From the day that I looked into
your beautiful blue eyes to now, you have brought nothing but pure joy to me
and those around you. You were always such a loving little boy who had a
special gift of caring about others and a natural talent for sports. As a student at
Georgetown Day School, Washington, DC, you studied hard, were determined,
overcame obstacles, and succeeded. You were well loved by teachers and
students alike as you were friendly, outgoing and social. From multiple play
dates as a child to establishing lasting friendships as a teenager and young adult,
you have always endeared others to you. Your love for sports and powerful
athletic abilities led you to success in varsity basketball, soccer and lacrosse.
Your quick wit, great sense of humor, and nigh capacity memory have led to
accomplished acting skills, which you have used in plays and dramatic
presentations in both school and church.

At Susquehanna University, you have continued to be you, while the special
qualities of your childhood grew to greater heights. You have employed good
study/work ethics and have been determined to make a positive difference. As it
is your desire to see others embrace and respect diversity and cultural differences
while ensuring fairness and equality for all, you have worked tirelessly with key
officials of Susquehanna to promote that. I believe that you have made a
difference! In furtherance of that goal, you have served as the Vice President and
Planning Chair of The Brotherhood, to educate the campus on minority issues.
With integrity, tenacity and fairness, you have handled well the job of Resident
Assistant and Head Resident of Smith Hall. As Staff Writer, for The Crusader
Newspaper, your articles have helped to enlighten and broaden perspectives.
You have given your all and helped to establish Susquehanna University s first TV
station, as its Technical Director. And then, you further widened your own
horizons by studying abroad at Temple University's International Program in
Tokyo, Japan during the spring semester of your junior year!

Ryan, the family and I are so proud of you and the many accomplishments you
have achieved throughout the years. I am equally proud that you have remained
loving, caring, respectful, and disciplined. You nave maintained strong religious
and family values. I have watched you grow to be the extraordinary, sensitive,
and successful young man that you have become. I am confident that you will
continue to meet the challenges of life with open arms and create your own paths
to success. What more could a Mother ask of her Son? Congratulations
on your graduation
University!

from Susquehanna

I love you so much, Mom

what an EXPERIENCE you have had at SU. it was as
REWARDING for US as it was FOR YOU.

ONE of the MANY QUOTES on your wall stated:
"ALWAYS REMEMBER, you are BRAVER than you BELIEVE,
STRONGER than you SEEM, and SMARTER than you THINK."

keep this in MIND and you WILL be SUCCESSFUL in
EVERYTHING you DREAM OF DOING.

LOVE, DAD and MOM

I CANNOT EVEN BEGIN TO PUT INTO WORDS HOW PROUD I AM OF YOUR
CCOMPLISHMENTS! YOU ARE THE MOST WONDERFUL AND BEAUTIFUL
RSON I KNOW AND I AM BLESSED TO HAVE YOU AS MY SISTER. NOW THAT
YOU'LL BE HEADING OUT INTO THE "REAL WORLD," I LOOK FORWARD TO
SHARING LIFE EXPERIENCES AND MANY MORE SISTER MOMENTS. TAKE A
FEW MOMENTS TO LOOK BACK AT ALL YOU HAVE DONE AND WHERE YOU ARE
TODAY, AND MAKE SURE TO PAT YOURSELF ON THE BACK. IF YOU DON'T, I'LL
MAKE SURE TO HAVE JAYLIN DO IT FOR YOU THE NEXT TIME HE SEES YOU. KEEP
FOLLOWING YOUR HEART AND DREAMS - 1 CANNOT WAIT TO SEE WHERE
THEY TAKE YOU.

REMEMBER: "AROUND HERE, HOWEVER, WE DON'T LOOK BACKWARDS FOR VERY
IG. WE KEEP MOVING FORWARD, OPENING UP NEW DOORS AND DOING
N THINGS, BECAUSE WERE CURIOUS... AND CURIOSITY KEEPS LEADING I
DOWN NEW PATHS." - WALT DISNEY
