THE PHILOSOPHIAN LITERARY SOCIETY
The Philosophian Literary Society
is proud to be part of McKendree's
tradition. Founded in 1837, Philo
has shared this proud heritage for
141 of McKendree's 150 years.
Philo is a varied group of individ-
uals brought together by many of the
same elements which have been a
part of McKendree's past. Philo is
proud of it's past and strives to car-
ry on it's traditions as well as serv-
ing the present. While Philo places
a great emphises on the brotherhood
which grows in a closed group, they
see this brotherhood not as the
groupness of a closed group, but the
closeness of an open group.
PHI RHO CHI
Ferox is a social service fra-
ternity that was founded in
1963. The "Green Machine"
was very active in school af-
fairs this year. We have been
involved in intermurals and in
over-all competition this year
Ferox has again ranked first
among fraternities. This tradi-
tion has continued for the past
15 years. One of the most im-
portant factors is that Ferox
does not end after college. We
have an alumni association
which is strong with brother-
hood. Our assets are strong
unity and a drive for botherhood
that keeps the men of our fra-
ternity together.
Dr. Kovac, Sam Burgess,
John Cook, Jeff Whitaker,
Jeff Angle, Dale Schicken-
dary, Tim Triggs, Gene Earl,
Eric Stevenson.

the top.
