Abstract of Principles.
Article 1st. We believe iu one true and living God — the Father, the Word
and the Holy Ghost.
2d. We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the
word of God, and are the only rule of faith and practice.
3d. We believe in the doctrine of election by grace.
4th We believe in the fall of man. and that he is incapable of recovering
himself therefrom.
.">lh. We believe that sinners are justified in the sight of God only by the
imputed righteousness of Jesus Christ.
6th. We believe that God's elect shall be called and regenerated by the
Holy Ghost.
7th. We believe that the saints shall persevere in grace, and never fall
finally away.
8th. We believe that Baptism and the Lord's Supper are ordinances of
Jesus Christ, and true believers are the subjects, and we believe that the
true mode of baptism is by immersion.
Jtth. We believe iu the resurrection of the dead and a general judgment,
and that the punishment of the wicked is everlasting, and the joys of the
righteous will be eternal.
10th. We believe no minister has a right to the administration of the ordi-
nances only such as are regularly baptized, called and come under the impo-
sition of hands hj the presbytery.
11th. We believe that none bat "ihe regularly baptized members have a
right to commune at the Lord's table, and we believe that the saints should
wash one another' feet after taking the Lord's Supper.
