DEDICATION
David Milley
Assistant Director
Campus Center
We, the Class of 1989 and Yearbook Staff, wish to
dedicate the 1989 Yearbook to David Milley. Dave
has been a very important asset to our class and
to the college community as a whole. Dave's dedi-
cation to the students of this campus is exempli-
fied in his commitment to their organizations and
activities. Dave has served as advisor to our class
for the past four years as well as advisor for SGA,
Greek Council, Kappa Delta Phi, and the Big
Brother/Big Sister program on campus. He assists
students in organizing such events as Yahoo Fest,
Sam Gomez Classic, and Winter Carnival. His
efforts have also helped with improving College-
Community relations.
Dave, you have been an inspiration and a friend.
We wish to thank you for everything you've done
for us and for all the times you've been there when
we needed you. Please accept this dedication
from us with our most sincere gratitude and love.

OCTOBER-
FEST
When Fall Semester comes to North Ad-
ams State College it brings with it one of
the students favorite fund raising
events, OCTOBERFEST. Despite the un-
controlable weather conditions, the stu-
dents and alumni who attended this
years Test" had fun filled day.
OCTOBERFEST took place in Florida,
MA and the fraternity provided round
trip bus transportation to all who attend-
ed. $1000 was donated to a local charity
by Beta. This, together with the great
time had by everyone, is what made the
event such a success.

MEN'S SOCCER
The riASC Men's Soccer Team played one of it's toughest
schedules in years as they finished with an 11-7 league
record along with a second-place finish in the MASCAS
with a 6-2 record. Highlights of the season included an in-
spirational 2-0 upset over Westfield State, a NESN debut,
and a professional tryout for Bassem Maher.
All-NewEngland honors went to Maher and tri-captain To-
rin Dudlay. Senior Dave Turco capped off his career with
All-NewEngland honorable mention. Mark Pare
MEN'S BASKETBALL
The NASC Men's Basketball Team had a spectacular season as
this squad went farther than any other team in Mohawk histoi\
The 23-2 record was highlighted by the teams first win in NCAA
tournament history, a 112-78 thrashing of the Salem State VBfr
ings. This victory came after a devastating first round defeat to
eventual champion, Southern Maine University.

WOMAN'S SOCCER
The lady Mohawks finished up the 1988 season with a rec-
ord of 8-11. Although they couldn't hold onto their MAS-
CAC title, the Lady Mohawks did very well considering it
was a season of rebuilding. Senior Co-Captains Beth
Shoulla, Jackie Wilson, and Heather Hardy led the squad
throughout the season. Betsy D'Agostino and Sheila
Marti were named to the first team MASCAC team. Marti
was also named MVP for the Mohawks. Goalie Kelly Fitz-
maurice had a strong season with six shutouts.
The 1988 season was only the fourth for the lady Mo-
hawks. The players who started the brand new team and
are now seniors are Keri Whipple, Beth Shoulla, Pam Perl-
mutter, Heather Hardy and transfer Jackie Wilson, who
contributed three years. It was four years of learning,
improvement, determination and team unity. The team
would like to thank all of our coaches, trainers, and fans
for their support and time that made the past four years
successful and that will bring a bright future.
