Blueprint For The Eighties

The Williamsport Area
Community College

THE WILLIAMSPORT AREA COMMUNITY COLLEGE

ird Street, Williamspon. Penns-

This year I, like you, will be leaving The Williamsport
Area Community College. The past year has been especially
satisfying for me as I watched the College's plans for three
new buildings become a reality. It has also been rewarding
for me to be a part of your experience at WACC.

During the past year as the College worked to build
new facilities, you have been involved in a different type
of building. This yearbook records your experience in
building skills, knowledge, and friendships, in learning to
turn dreams into plans and plans into reality.

Your experiences at WACC have provided you with the
tools to build your future career, to build your personal
life, and to build your communities. I hope these experiences
have been good ones and that your memories of the College
will be, like mine, happy ones.

On behalf of the Board of Trust
and Staff, I wish you continued success as you begin to
build on the foundations you have established at the College.

William H. Feddersen
College President

In Fall 1979, WACC began con-
struction of a new Building
Trades Center. Learning Re-
sources Center and Metal Trades
Center. This construction, shown
in the overview, is the first part
of a proposed multistage facilities
improvement program. The
MONTAGE has dedicated this
years book to the building pro-
cess that this project signifies.

We are building in sorrow or

A temple the world may not

see,
Which time cannot mar nor

destroy;
We build for eternity.

Bear in mind that the wonderful things you learn in your schools are the work of many
generations, produced by enthusiastic effort and infinite labor in every country of the
world. All this is put into your hands as your inheritance in order that you may receive it,
honor it, add to it, and one day faithfully hand it on to your children. Thus do we mortals
achieve immortality in the permanent things which we create in common.
