Dear Mr. McCarty:
Replying to your letter of February 25th, the
Board of directors have instructed me to advise you that the
same consideration which is being shown your group by
A.S.C.A.P. and the Warner Bros, group of publishers will be
shown by this Society.
At this writing, the applications for the classi¬
fication of Licensee Membership under which your group will
be accepted in the Society, are not ready. Nevertheless,
you have our definite assurance that nothing will be done to
hinder your good work in the educational field, but rather,
every measure of cooperation will be expended.
Just as soon as the applications are ready they
will be forwarded. In the meantime, you are at liberty to
advise your members that they are free to continue as in the
past with regard to the use of the talents of our jaerabers
through the medium of recordings.
