Freshmen Fire and Water Dinner 200 1 was a treat for all who attended. The dining hall was
transformed into a beach scene, fitting the theme, Under the Boardwalk, to a tee. Friends had the
chance to come together and talk of all the fun, and not so fun, times during freshmen year.
Everyone seemed to fully enjoy the freshmen video, which showed what our Class of 2004 time
capsule would hold when buried. During the ceremony, it was exciting to be able to rid ourselves
of the idea of everything bad we had experienced, while also embracing the good and seeing
all our eggs floating int the fountain. Even though it was raining during the Fire and Water

Meredith College held its annual senior picnic, an event that as a tradition concluded a friendly competition
between senior and junior class members. Prior to the afternoon event, seniors would gather to decide upon a
spot in which to hide the crook, a Meredith tradition. Then they would compile a poem that serves to provide _
juniors with subtle hints in reference to the location of the hidden object. The juniors traditionally have one week
to search for the crook; however, this year they came up short, allowing the seniors to claim victory. (The object
had been cleverly placed inside of a drainage pipe.) After the conclusion of the main event, students returned to
the dining hall where they enjoyed dinner, cake, music, and fellowship.

God loaned to us a little bundle of joy
To nurture and love and raise for him
This was a frightening task and we often questioned
Our ability to raise this precious little gem
But we loved and nurtured her as best we knew how,
Taught her to love and respect and do the things she should
And with only a little bump here and a little stitch there
With God's help she made it to womanhood
She worked diligently throughout her school years,
Studying and doing her homework without a fuss
And if parents are graded on how their child turns out.
There is no doubt about it, we get an 'A' plus

I know the past four years has been a long, long road to the end,
but it seems to me that just yesterday you were still in High
School. You have conquered all that you have set out to do, no
matter how difficult it was and I know you will continue to do so.
I am very proud of you. Congratulations!
Love, Mom
I can't begin to express how proud I am of you- Not only for
all of your academic accomplishments throughout your High
School and College career, but also for the person you have
developed into The strength of your personality and the
courage of your spirit to pursue your goals with absolute
conviction and perseverance combined with your caring and
compassion for those less fortunate than others, are truly
personal traits that can only propel one through life
successfully focused, confident, and happy
As your father, I can now only step back and watch the world
bestow the gifts and rewards to someone as deserving as
you. And, as your father, I will always fill with pride that you
ore my beautiful daughter.
With all my love. Dad
What can I soy about my sister? I bet mom and dad have said it
all. Well, all I can say is I can't believe she's graduating. ! know
she does the best that she can do That's why she is an excellent

Well you finally did it. Again.
Congratulations on everything you have achieved so far. I
know you're not done yet, but you have made me and

Well, our precious little bundle (that would be
you) has met this most daunting and important
challenge- graduation from college!! An
accomplishment about which you can be
exceedingly proud. A most critical milestone for
you that will touch everything you do. A place
where many of your most important friendships
and alliances have formed, and will remain for
the rest of your life. An experience that will
provide for you a great reservoir of skill, ability,
wisdom, confidence, toughness, self-esteem and
much more. A place where you have learned not
to be intimidated by education and new
learning-which is a good thing because it will
continue your whole life long. A place, we have
witnessed, where you have fallen in love-with
life, and all the goodness available in and from
it, when you do it right. We are so proud of and
happy for you; we, and we're sure you, can
hardly wait to see the next chapter!
Love always.

Today and always
Your family is proud of you-
Proud of the path that you have made
That is all your own
We see the many unique
Talents and gifts you have to share
We see your innocence, your enthusiasm,
And how deeply you care
And hurt sometimes
We see your hard earned wisdom
And your achievement,
Your courage and compassion,
Your uncompromised goodness.
We see the difference
You make in the world
But those are not the reasons that
we love you We love you
Because you are God's gift to us.
As you turn to a new chapter in your life.
We know God will be with you
Guiding your path to new wonders
and blessings
We love youl

May the raindrops fall lightly on your brow.
May the soft winds freshen your spirit.
May the sunshine brighten your heart.
May the burdens of the day rest lightly upon you
And may God enfold you in the mantle of His love.

glad we've become closer. Thanks for finally accepting

Who, Whoo, cause I just got paid!" I'll never forget that
b-day and JC's rendition of "No Strings Attached" and Joey's
rendition of "Bye, Bye, bye".

Dearest Katherine,
In your life, I know you've learned at least four things:
1 . Peppercorns really are as hot as they say
2. Glass is sharp.
3. Candy does cause cavities.
4. You can scream all you want, but you're not getting off until
the ride is over
I don't know what they taught you in college, but I know you
did all your homework.
the hard work you have done! Love, Zac/i Congratulations! I wish you all the fine things! Love, 0/;V/a
