Abbott, George I., Sergeant in Co. G., 46th 0. V. I., enlisted at 
Newark, 0., in August, 1862; was wounded at Atlanta. Georgia, July 21, 
1S64, and died in Hospital, at Nashville, Tennessee, Nov. 7th 1864. 

Ackley, Sterling, enlisted April 24, 1861, in Co. B., 17th 0. V. I., and 
died at Buchanan, Va., July 13, 1S61, aged IS years. 

Adams, Rufus B., enlisted Nov. 1, 1S61, in Co. H., 76th 0. V. I., ami 
died January 28, 1863. 

Adams, John Q., was a member of Co. F.. 135th 0. N. Guards. He 
was captured at North Mountain, West Virginia, July 3, 1864, and died 
two weeks thereafter, (July 17th,) in prison, at Harrisonburg, Va. 

Alexander. Robert, enlisted in Co. H.. 3d 0. V. I., Aug. 25, 1862: and 
afterwards in the 33d 0. V. I. He was struck by a shell while skirm- 
ishing near Atlanta, Georgia, July 20, 1864, and died in field hospital 
July 20th, 1864. 

Allen. Morris, enlisted in August. 1862, in Co. F., of the 95th 0. V. I . 
and was captured June 4, 1864, at Guntown, Mississippi. He spent ten

month- in Andersonville prison, and was lost while on his Way home, in 
April. 186.5, by the explosion of the steamer Sultana, on the Mississippi 
river 

Alward, Alfred, a member of Co. B., ofO. X. G's, died in the Prison 
Fen, at Andersonville, Sept. 1, 1864. He was captured at North Moun- 
tain, West Virginia, July 3d, 1864. 

Anderson. Asbury, a member of Co. F., of the 0. N. G's. was captur- 
ed at North Mountain. \Y. Va.. July 3. 1864, and died at Andersonville 
Georgia, October 7. 1864. 

Anderson. Lieut. John, enlisted in On. (.'., 76th 0. V. I. in 1861 : was 
wounded at Arkansas Tost. Jan. 11, 1863, and died of said wound on 
the hospital boat, near Memphis. Tennessee, about five days thereafter. 
aged 27 years. 

Anderson, T. J., enlisted in Co. C, 76th 0. V. I., in July. 1862, and 
died at ''Ballard's Plantation." near Vicksburg, in March. 1863, aged 
about 21 years. 

Armstrong, David, was a member of Co. E.. 12th ( ». V [., and died 
July 6, 1862, at Flat Top Mountain. W. Va.

Baii.kv. Isaac, enlisted at Hartford. August 14. 1862, in Co. P., 113th 
< > V. I., and died in Washington City, P. C, December 16, 1864. 

Baker, Moses, W. was a member of Co. E.. Pith V. I. He was 
wounded at Bull Run, Aug. 27. 1862, and is supposed to be dead. 

Bartholomew, Franklin, enlisted Aug. 2. 1862, in Co. G., 4">th 0. V. 
I., and died of disease contracted in the army, April 13, 1866. He was 
in the 21st year of his age. 

Bailey, Josiah, was a member of Co. E.. 12th 0. V. I., and was killed 
at Bull Run Bridge, August 26. 1862. 

Bayles, George W., was a member of Co. A., 76th 0. V. I., and died 
at Young's Point, Louisiana, Feb. 20, 1863, aged 31 years. 

Baird, Josiah, enlisted in Co. D., 22d 0. Volunteers, Sept. 3, 1861, and was 
killed by guerrilla's while on a scout from Brownsville Station. Arkan- 
sas, July 21, 1864, aged 22 years. His remains were brought to Patas- 
kala for burial. 

Barrick, Lorenzo, enlisted in Co. D., 113th 0. V. I. ; was wounded at 
Kenesaw Mountain. Georgia, June 27, 1864, and died July 12. 1864, at 
Vining's Station. Georgia. 

Barstow, Judson. enlisted in Co. H , :>l>t <>. V. I . and died in hospital.

near Hartford, Oct. 12, 1804. of disease contracted while in the service. 

Barnes. Thomas, was a member of Co. F., of the 0. X. Guards. He 
was captured at North Mountain, W Va.. July 3, 1804. and died in 
Andersonville prison, October 7. 1804. 

Barstow, G. H., was a member of Co. F., of the 0. N. Guards. Fie was 
taken prisoner at North Mountain, W. Va., July 3, 1804, and died i:i 
Andersonville prison, Sept. 9, 1864. 

Berger, John <,'., Enlisted in Co. B., 113th 0. V. I.. Feb. 27. 1804. He 
died in hospital, at Chattanooga, Tennessee, Oct. 22, 1804. 

Bennington, Nelson, enlisted Oct. 23, 1861, at Columbus, in Co. H> 
6th U. S. C. ; was wounded at Winchester, Va.. July 24. 1804, and died 
from said wound Aug. 2, 1804, aged 24 years. 

Beddoes, William, enlisted Oct. 1861, in Co. C. 70th 0. V. I., and died 
on steamer, at Memphis, Jan. 19, 1803. 

Belt, John W.. was a member of Co. B., 135th regiment of the 0. N. 
Guards. He was captured at North Mountain. W. Va.. July 3. [864, 
and died in prison at Savannah, Georgia, Oct. 10. 1804, aged 23 years. 

Benner, William A., was a member of Co. F.. of the 135th regiment 
O. N. Guards. He was captured at North Mountain. W. Va., July 3, 
1864, and died in Andersonville prison. Sept 8. 1864. 

Bell, Joseph, was a member of Co. B., 135th regiment, O. X. Guards. 
He was captured at North Mountain, W. Va.. July 3, 1804, and died in 
Andersonville prison, Sept. 14. 1804. 

Beatty, Jerry, was a member of Co. F., of 135th O. N. Guards. He 
died at Homer. April 4, 1805, of disease contracted in the service. 

Bishop, Henry, was a member of Co. H., 31st 0. V. 1., and was kill- 
ed on picket, near Chickamauga, Sept. 22, 1803. 

Bird, Mervard, was a member of Co. E., 12th O. V. I., and was killed 
July 24, 1864. 

Blade, Henry, enlisted August 18, 1862, at Newark, in Co. F.. J 13th 
< >. V. I., and died at Chattanooga, Tennessee, July 12. 1804, from the ef- 
fects of a wound received at Kenesaw Mountain. 

Bounds, Perry, enlisted in Co. F., 95th 0. V. I., Aug. 13, 1802. and 
was killed at Bichmond, Ky., Aug. 30, 1802. 

Bogle, Holmes, was a member of Co. B., 135th 0. N. Guards. He 
was captured at North Mountain, W. Va.. July 3, 1804, and died in An- 
dersonville prison. August 10, 1804. 

Brackett, Alonzo M., was a member of Co. C, 70th O. V. I., and died

Briggs, William, enlisted January- 10, 1864, in Co. TV 113th <> V I. 
and died in hospital, at Columbus, Ohio. 

Brook, Aianson S., enlisted Aug. 7, 1S62, in Co. F., 95th 0. V. I , and 
died next year at Mound City, Illinois. 

Brookover, G. EL, was a member of Co. B.,~ in 13oth 0. N. Guards 
and was captured at North Mountain. W. Va., July 3, 1864. He died 
in Andersonville prison, Sept. 21, 1864. 

Buck. W. H., was a member of Co. B., 30th O. V. V. I. He was 
killed at Bentonviile. North Carolina, March 20, 1865. 

Buckingham, Zadoc, was a member of Co. B., 135th 0. N. Guards. 
He died at Martinsburg. West Virginia. 

Burch, Leonidas F., was a member of Co. H., 31st 0. V. I. He was 
captured at the battle of Chickamauga, Sept. 20, 1863. and remained 
a prisoner until his death, Aug. 17, 1864. He was in his 24th year. 

Burrel, Theodore, was a member of Co. F., 135th 0. N. Guards. lie 
was captured at North Mountain. West Virginia, July 3, 1864. and died 
in Charleston, South Carolina, Sept. 30, 186-1. 

Buttricks, George, wa-s a member of Co. E., 12th O. V. I., and died 
at Charleston. West Virginia, Dec. 20, 1861.

Carter, Charles C, was a member of Co. F., 135th 0. N. Guards, and 
was captured at North Mountain W. Va., July 3, 1864: and after eight 
months of confinement and sickness in Andersonville prison, he came 
home and died of disease. Feb. 20, 1866. 

Castil, Henry was a member of Co C, 76th 0. V. I., and died at 
Corinth, Mississippi, Oct. 5, 1863, aged 19 years. 

Case, W. E., enlisted June 5, 1861, in Co. B., 11th 0. V. I. He was 
killed at Spottsylvania, Va., May 19, 1864, aged 21 years. 

Camp. William, was a member of Co. B., 135th O. N. Guards. H<- 
was captured at North Mountain, W. Va., July 3, 1864, and died at 
Florence, South Carolina. 

Cane, Harvey, was a member of Co. B., 135th 0. N. Guards; was cap- 
tured at North Mountain, W. Va., July 3, 1864, and died at Florence, 
South Carolina. 

Can-. Peter, was a member of Co. E.. 12th O. V. I. He was killed at 
Cloyd Mountain, W. Va., June 10, 1864, aged 32 years.

Va., Oct. 19, 1864. 

Channell, Joel D., was a member of Co. E., 12th 0. V. I. He was 
captured at Cloyd Mountain, W. Va., May 12, 1864, and died in An- 
dersonviile prison, Sept. 17, 1864. 

Channell, Aaron N., was the Captain of Co., E. ,12th 0. A'. V. I. He was 
killed at Cloyd Mountain, W. Va., May 9, 1864. 

Chapin, James. Sr., was a member of Co. F., 135th 0. X. Guards. He 
was captured at North Mountain, W. Va., July 3, 1864, and died in 
Andersonviile prison, Sept. 14, 1S64. 

Chapin, James A., was a member of Co. F., 135th O. X. Guards. He 
was taken prisoner at North Mountain, W. Va., July 3, 1864, and died 
in Andersonviile prison, (Jet. 28th, 1804. 

Cheek, John F., enlisted in Co. D., 113th O. V. I., in 1862, and re- 
ceived a death wound in the battle of Chickamauga, Sept. 2D, 1863, 
aged 23 years. 

Clemm, Harrison D., was a member of Co. E., 12th 0. V. I., and was 
killed at Cloyd Mountain, W. Va., June 10, 1864. 

Clark. J. R., was a member of Co. F., 135th 0. N. Guards. He was 
taken prisoner at North Mountain, W. Va.. July, 3, 1864, and died in 
Andersonviile prison, Sept. 15, 1864. 

Clark, John F., was a member of Co. D., 113th 0. V. I. He was 
wounded in the battle of Chickamauga, Sept. 20, 1863, and died in hos- 
pital Oct. 19, 1863. 

Clark. George, enlisted at Hartford, Oct. 9, 1861, in Co. B., 76th 0. V. 
I., and died at Shiloh, Tenn.. May 10, 1862. aged 21 years. 

Cline, N., was a member of Co. C. 135th 0. N. Guards. He was cap- 
tured at North Mountain, W. Va.. July 3, 1864, and died in prison at 
Florence, South Carolina, Nov. 25, 1864. 

Clifton, Jonathan, was a member of Co. K., 76th O. V. I., also by re- 
enlistment. He died in a field hospital, April 16, 1864, in the 44th 
year of his age. 

Coffman, Dever, enlisted at Newark, August 22, 1862, in Co. F., 113th 
O. V. I., and died March 2, 1863, at Franklin, Tennessee. 

Colvin, William D., enlisted July 26, 1862, and died after a campaign 
in Missouri. 

Coons, George, enlisted Sept. 3, 1861, in Co. D., 22d U. V. I., and 
died in hospitalat Cincinnati, April 7, 1862, in the 19th year of his age.

killed in the battle of Perry ville. Kentucky. Oct. 8. 1862. 

Criswell, Wm, enlisted in Co., B.,T6th 0. V. I., Sept. 1. 1861, and died at 
/Shiloh. Tennessee, May 17, 1862. 

Critehet, L. B., enlisted in Co. C, 76 th 0. V. I.. Nov. 13, 1861, and 
died in hospital at Jefferson Barracks. Missouri. Oct. 31, 1863, aged 20 
years and two months.

captured at North Mountain. W. Va., July 3, 1864, and died in prison 
at Andersonville. Georgia, September 11. 1864. 

Dunlap, John, was a member of Co. II., 31st 0. V. I., and was killed 
at Murfreesboro, Tennessee, January 26, 1863. 

Dunn. David R., enlisted at Camp Chase, on or about the 27th of 
August, 1862, in Co., D., 113th regiment, 0. V. I., and was killed at 
Chickamauga, September 20. 1863, aged about 19 years. 

Dunn, Samuel 11., enlisted in Co. A., 70th 0. V. I., at Newark, Feb. 
18, 1804. aged 18 years, and died at Rome, Georgia. 

Duckworth, Thomas I,., enlisted in Co. F.. 95th 0. V. I., and died at 
or near Memphis, Tennessee.

Edwards, Alexander N., was a member of the 2d 0. II. Artillery, 
and was killed by a railroad collision at Elk River Bridge, Tennessee. 
May 2i>. 1^64. He was not quite twenty years old. 

Ellis. Henry, has been reported as one of our deceased soldiers, but 
no particulars have been furnished. 

Eddington, Eleazer, enlisted August 1, 1862, in Co. F., 95th O. V. I.. 
and died at Memphis, Tennessee. 

Ensley, William E., was a member of Co. F., 135th 0. N. Guards; was 
taken prisoner at North Mountain, West Virginia, July 3, 1864, and 
died at Andersonville, Ga., August 16, 1864. 

Evans, David, was a member of Co. C, 76th 0. V. I., and died of a 
wound received March 24, 1865. He Was in his 18th year. 

Eddlebute, Theron, enlisted August 18, 1862, in Co. F., 95th 0. V. I., 
and died at Annapolis, Maryland. 

Evans, Thomas, was a member of Co, G., 76th 0. V. I., and died near 
Pittsburg Landing, Tenn., Mav 5. 1862, in the twentieth year of his age.

died at Willett's Point, .New York.. July 24, 1864. He was buried 
near Appleton, Ohio.

at North Mountain, \V. Va., July 3, 1864, and died in Andersouville 
prison, October 29, 1864.

Finney, Walter E., was a member of Co. F., 135th 0. N. Guards. He. was 
captured at North Mountain, W. Va., duly 3, 1864, and died at Millen, 
Georgia, November 14, 1864. 
Fletcher, Win, enlisted in Co. A., 194th 0. N. Guards, Feb. 24, 1865. and 
died at Charlestown, W. Va., April 3, 186."), aged 24 years. He is buried 
at Bowling Green Cemetery. 

Flinn, Jerome, enlisted Sept. 3, 1861, in Co. D., 22d (». V. 1.. and 
died in hospital at St. Louis, Missouri, Nov. 15, 1862, aged 20 years. 

Flowers, Harvey, enlisted Aug. 16, 1861, in Co. C, 27tb 0. V. I., and 
died in hospital at Nashville, Tennessee, Nov. 28, 1863, aged 28 years. 

Follett, Dwight, enlisted September 1861, in Co. D., 13th Missouri V. 
I., and died in St. Louis, January 3, 1862. 

Foregrave, Michael, was a member of Co. F., 135th 0. N. Guards; was 
taken prisoner at North Mountain, W. Va., July 3, 1864, and died Nov. 
21, 1864. 

Fondersmith, David, was a member of Co. B., 135th 0. N. Guard-. 
but the time and place of his death have not been obtained. 

Francis, John L., was the Captain of Co. F., 135th 0. N. Guards; was 
captured July 3, 1864, at North Mountain, West Virginia, and died in 
prison at Columbia, S. C, Dec. '6, 1864, in the 24th year of his age. 

Franks, Martin, was a member of Co. H., 31st 0. V. I., and died at 
Nashville, Tennessee, April 13, 1862. 

French, Ira B., enlisted in Co. B., 76th 0. V. I.; became Captain of 
the Company, and was killed in the battle of Ringgold, Georgia, Nov. 
27, 1863. He was buried at Alexandria, in this county. 

Frost, Ezra, was a member of Co. F., 135th 0. N. Guards. He was 
captured at North Mountain, W. Va., July 3, 1864, and died in Flor- 
ence, South Carolina, Jan. 14, 1865.

Gardner, B. F., was a member of Co. D., 22d O. V. I., and died after 
two years and three months service, on board the hospital boat, Glas- 
gow, July 19, 1863.

German, Henry A., enlisted in Co. G., 76th O.V.T., Oct. 16, 1.861, and 
re-enlisted Jan. 5, 1864. He diedat Nashville, Tennessee, April 2, 1864. 
aged 28 years. 

Gibson, Joseph, enlisted at Newark, Jan. 25, 1862, in Co. C, 76th 
0. V. I., and died at Shiloh, Tennessee, April 28, 1862. 

Gibboney, Silas A.. enlisted in Co. C, 27th 0. V. 1., and re-enlisted 
in January. 1864. He was killed in a charge on rebel works at RutTs 
Mills. Georgia, July 4th, 1864, on his twenty-first birthday.

in hospital at Nashville, Tennessee, February 11, 1863. 

Glancy, Josiah, was a member of Co. F.. 135th 0. N. Guards; was 
captured at North Mountain. W. Va . July 3, 1864. The time and 
place of his death have not been furnished, but it is believed he died 
after his return from captivity. 

Gooding, Joseph "W., was a member of Co. D., 113th 0. V. I. He 
was killed at Chickamauga, Sept. 20, 1863. 

Gregory. Thomas, was a member of Co. C, 135th 0. N. Guards, and 
was killed at Maryland Heights, July 6, 1864. 

Gray, John, enlisted August 22, 1862. in Co. F., 113th 0. V. I., at 
Newark, and died April 14, 1863, at Franklin, Tennessee. 

Green, John W, enlisted Aug. 10, 1862, in Co. F., 95th 0. V. I., and 
died at Memphis, Tennessee, in 1863. 

Green, Albert G., enlisted in Co. C, 28th Iowa V. I. He died at 
Memphis. Tennessee, June 29, 1863. 

Green, Benjamin L., was a member of Co. A., 76th 0. V. I. He died 
at St. Louis, February 28, 1863, aged 27 years. 

Green, James W., was a member of Co. F., 135th 0. N. Guards. He 
was captured at North Mountain, W. Va., July 3, 1864, and after having 
been in five rebel prisons, he died at Florence, South Carolina. January 
24, 1865, in the twenty-third year of his age. 

Green, Joseph A., was a member of Co. A., 76th 0. V. I., and died 
at Rome, Georgia, Sept. 9, 1864. in the 21st year of his age. The four 
last named were brothers, sons of II. S. Green. 

Griffith. David, enlisted in August. 1862, in Co G., 45th 0. V. I. He 
was killed in the deft-nee of Knoxville, Tennesse, November 18. 1863, 
aged twenty-three years.

aged 21 years. He was buried at home.

wounded at the battle of Camp Alleghany, W. Va., Dec. 13, 1861, and

Hamilton, Arthur T., enlisted in 32d G. V. I., August 13, 1861. He

Captain February 11, 1865. On the day of his last promotion he was 
mortally wounded at Aikin, South Carolina, and died at Cheraw, 
South Carolina, March, 6, 1865, aged 22 years.

at Murfreesboro, Tennessee, April 26, 1863.

0. V. I. He was killed at the battle of Richmond, Kentucky, in Aug. 
1862. dwring the first month of his service. He was IS years old. 

Haughey, Frank A., enlisted June 13, 1861, at Newark, in Co. II.. 3d 
O.V. I. He was killed while on the Col. Streight raid into Georgia, at 
the foot of Sandy Mountain. April 30, 1863, aged 25 years.

C. He received a Major's commission, and soon thereafter was killed 
in the battle of Stone River. Pecember 31. 1862. His remains were 
brought home for interment.

Pittsburg Landing, Tennessee, April 30, 1862. 

Morris, John L., enlisted in the 45th regiment, O. V. I., at Newark.

tenancy in the 52d Colored Regiment. He died of disease, but the time

Williams, William, enlisted December 15, 1863, in Co. P.. 113th < >. V. 
I., and died at Atlanta, Georgia. 

Wickham. J. S., was Quarter Master .Sergeant, of the 135th 0. N. 
Guards. He was captured at North Mountain, W. Ya.. July 3, 1864. 
and died at Lynchburg, Virginia, July 15, 1864, aged 23 year* and fom 
months. His remains were brought home for interment, in Jan. 1865 

Wilson. Phillip, enlisted in 1861. in Co. C, 76th 0. V. I He was 
killed at Ringgold. Georgia, Nov 27, 1863, aged 20 years. 

Wisley, John W., enlisted at Newark, August 19, 1862, and was in the 
battle of Knoxville. Tennessee, and never afterwards heard from. 

Wilcox, Marvin, enlisted Aug. 4, 1862, in Co. P.. 95th 0. V, I. He 
was captured at Guntown. Mississippi, and lost his life by the explo- 
sion of-the steamer Sultana, on the Mississippi river, in April. 1865. 

Willyard. John, enlisted Aug. 1. 1862, in Co. F. 95th 0. V. I. and 
died at Memphis, Tennessee. 

Wilson, Jacob S.. was a member of Co D., 76th V..1. and died at

Memphis. Tennessee, November 3, 1863, in the 22d year of his age. He 
was buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery. 

Wood, Sidney R., was a member of Co. B., 76th 0. V. I. He was 

killed in the battle of Arkansas Post, in January, 1863. in the twen- 
tieth year of his age. 

Woodcock, George W., enlisted October 1861, in Co. H., 76th 0. V. 
I., and died at Vicksburg, Mississippi, June 28, 1863. 

Woodruff. J. M., was a member of Co. F., 135th 0. N. Guards. He 
was captured at North Mountain, West Virginia, July 3, 1S64, and died 
in prison, at Ander.-cnville, Sept. 22, 1864. 

Wolf, Peter, was a member of Co. B., 135th 0. N. Guards. He was 
captured at North Mountain. W. Va., July 3, 1S64, and died in An- 
dersonville prison, November 11, 1864. 

Wright, P., was a member of Co. D., 113th 0. V. I. He died at 
Nashville, Tennessee, February 16, 1863. 

Wright, Collin C, enlisted in Co. H., 76th 0. V. I., February 27. 
1864, and died at Annapolis, Maryland, Jan. 10, 1865, in the twenty- 
third of his age. He was buried at Homer. 

Wright, George E.. enlisted in Nov. 1861, in Co. H., 76th 0. V. I , 
and died at Helena, Arkansas, October 6, 1862, aged 21 years. He is 
buried at Homer.
