Inanwatan has a five vowel system (i, e, u, o, a] and 12 consonant phonemes: p, t, k, b, d, g, O, s, m, n, 
j, and the glottal stop. Inanwatan syllables can be subsumed under one type of syllable: (C]V(V). Stress 
is phonemic.
