this Hssociatlon  shall  be  called  "Che  Tort 
Wayne  Society  of  Art". 

Article  TT. 

the  object  of  this  Society  shall  be  to  aid  In 
the  general  development  of  Hrt  Culture. 

Jlrtlcle  TTT. 

Section  i.  the  officers  of  this  Society  shall  be 
a  President,  a  UicePresldent,  a  Recording  Sec- 
retary, a  Corresponding  Secretary,  a  treasurer, 
and  a  Program  Committee. 

Sec.  2.  these  officers,  excepting  the  Pro- 
gram Committee,  shall  be  elected  by  ballot  at 
the  annual  meeting. 

Sec.  3.  the  duties  of  these  officers  shall  be 
such  as  usually  pertain  to  their  office. 

Sec.  4.  m  the  first  regular  day  meeting  aft- 
er her  election,  the  President  shall  name  four 
persons  to  act  as  Program  Committee,  who 
shall  be  balloted  upon  at  the  next  regular  day 
meeting  of  the  Society. 


$<c.  5.  the  offlcm  and  Prearam  Commit- 
tee shall  constitute  a  Board  of  Directors  to 
transact  tbe  business  of  the  Society.  CWs  Board 
may  Invite  active  and  associate  members  to  meet 
with  tbem  for  tbe  consideration  of  special  or  Im- 
portant matters,  wben  all  shall  hape  the  prlvl- 
Icse  of  voting. 

Sec.  6.  Che  President  of  the  Society  shall  be 
ex-offlcio  a  member  of  each  committee. 

Sec.  7.  Che  officers  of  the  Society  shall  be 
women.

Section  I.  Che  members  shall  be  active,  ac- 
tive associate,  associate  and  honorary. 

Sec.  2.  jlctive  membership  shall  be  limited 
to  twenty-five;  active  associate  membership  to 
fifty;  associate  membership  to  seventy-five. 

Sec.  3.  Che  name  of  a  candidate  for  mem- 
bership must  be  presented  to  the  Recording  Sec- 
retary, in  writing,  by  an  active  member,  and 
must  bear  the  endorsement  of  two  other  active 
members,  at  one  of  the  regular  day  meetings, 
to  be  voted  upon  by  secret  ballot  of  active  mew- 


bers  at  tbc  next  regular  day  meetina.    three  Constitution 

negative  votes  shall  defeat  the  candidate. 

Sec.  4.  Che  candidate  for  membership  who 
has  failed  of  election  shall  not  he  proposed  with- 
in three  months  thereafter. 

Sec.  s.  Co  qualify  for  membership  it  shall 
be  necessary  for  the  member  elected  to  signify 
his  acceptance,  in  writing,  to  the  Corresponding 
Secretary  and  to  pay  the  dues  for  the  year  in 
which  he  is  elected,  both  within  a  month  after 
he  has  been  notified  of  his  election.  Che  name 
of  no  person  shall  be  placed  upon  the  roll  of  the 
€lub  until  he  has  properly  qualified. 

Hrticle  U. 

Chis  Constitution  may  be  amended  at  any  reg- 
ular day  meeting  of  the  Society,  by  a  two-thirds 
vote  of  the  members  present,  provided  that  a 
written  notice  of  the  intended  change  has  been 
given  at  a  previous  day  meeting.

Section  I.  Cl)c  financial  year  shall  besin  witb 
the  first  meeting  in  October,  at  which  time  all 
dues  are  payable. 

Sec.  2.  mhen  dues  are  not  paid  by  the  first 
meeting  in  January,  the  treasurer  shall  inform, 
in  writing,  that  such  dues  are  still  unpaid.  Tf 
not  settled  within  four  weeks  after  the  commu- 
nication has  been  received  the  membership  of 
the  delinquent  shall  be  deemed  forfeited  in  ac- 
cordance with  such  decision  as  the  Board  of 
Directors  may  make.

the  dues  of  this  Society  shall  be  as  follows  t 
two  dollars  annually  for  active  members,  three 
dollars  annually  for  active  associate  members, 
five  dollars  annually  for  associate  members. 
JIny  active  member  may  purchase  one  guest 
ticket  when  Issued  by  the  Board  of  Directors.

occur  every  alternate  tbursday  from  October 
to  may  inclusive,  unless  otbcrwise  ordered  by 
tbe  Board  of  Directors,  tbe  bours  for  assem- 
blins  sball  be  3  P.  m.  and  $  P.  m.  alternately. 

Sec.  2.  Cbe  last  meeting  of  tbe  current  year 
sball  be  tbe  annual  meeting. 

Sec.  3.  Special  meetings  sball  be  called  by 
tbe  President,  at  tbe  request  of  two  or  more 
active  members. 

Sec.  4.  iHctive  members  are  expected  at  all 
meetings.  Jlctive  associate  and  associate  mem- 
bers are  expected  at  all  tbe  meetings  except  tbe 
annual  meeting.  Jlctive  and  associate  members 
are  privileged  to  bring  as  guests  out-of-town 
visitors.
