With  this  yearbook,  we,  the  Sunset  Staff  of 
1963,  wish  for  you  many  happy  memories  as 
you  scan  each  page.  Herein  are  reminders  of 
moments  spent  with  fellow  classmates  and  teach- 
ers. We  hope  that  this  book  may  stand  as  a  rec- 
ord of  our  accomplishments  and  will  in  later 
years  serve  as  a  means  of  making  nostalgic  me- 
mories a  reality  once  more.  Tightly  interwoven 
in  these  pages  are  all  our  thoughts  and  remem- 
brances of  this  school. 


Here  upon  the  Highlands  plateau  mid  its  flora  grand,  stands 
the  noble  Highlands  High  School,  fairest  in  the  land. 

Here  we  learn  to  live  together,  study,  work,  and  play;  and 
the  glory  of  our  high  school,  we  shall  sing  for  aye. 

Here  the  faults  of  all  our  brother,  write  we  on  the  sand;  but 
on  plaques  of  loving  memory  all  their  virtues  stand. 

May  her  name  be  ever  honored,  through  all  time  and  space. 
May  her  noble  hall  of  learning,  teach  men  truth  and  grace. 

Highlands  High,  our  Alma  Mater,  loud  her  praises  tell,  we
