Interesting Picture
This cookbook, along with the early Army cookbooks from 1896, 1910, and 1916, present an interesting snap-shot of what America ate during that period. It is interesting to compare these cookbooks with the World War 2 and current versions. Some foods and recipes appear in the later editions and some disappear. For re-enactors, these cookbooks are a must.
