T.p. vignette of three crosses. Numerous woodcut ill. of cities, monuments, exotic trees and animals. Some city views printed from two blocks and extend across two pages. Some cuts signed with the initials Z.A. The first ed. (Bologna: Justiniano da Rubiera, 1500) included a border signed by the block cutter Piero Ciza; see M. Sander, Le livre à figures italien, 4998. However the first ed. cited by Sander to include cuts signed Z.A. is that of 1524 (Venice: N. Zoppino & V. de Polo; Sander 5005). One historiated initial, a head- and a tail-piece
Binding: sewn onto leather thongs with doubled endpapers of heavy paper front and back, but not otherwise covered
Sir John Walker's signature at head of title. Eight lines of English verse on 2nd front endpaper recto. Three-line inscription in Italian on 1st back endpaper verso, dated 23 May 1639 at Fiume
