The
researcher access pages provide an introduction to the collaborative
environment offered to programmers, researchers, scholars,
and historians working with the archive's web collection.
Access is provided free of charge through a Unix shell interface,
and a growing library of Unix and Perl scripts which researchers
are encouraged to extend. Some Java tools will be available
soon.
For
higher-level access that does not require programming, see
the Wayback Machine's advanced
search utilities.
