The guys in Little Feat are just so good in this recording. Bill Payne is one of the finest piano players of the context, and the band is in fine form.
Great recording. 38,000 downloads for a P&F show must mean its a winner.
Dixie Chxn>Terrapin is monumentally amazing. Wish I could have seen this incarnation of the band.

I really appreciate this upload. I echo all the reviews below. This sounds better than it did in the hall. Too bad the Wolfman cuts and is missing the ending Playing.
The Kaiser, while not the best sounding nor most beautiful, was my favorite Dead venue. I saw all the Dead's shows from '87 until they had to stop playing there. This was my only return trip sadly. I still love this place. You should get this show. Peace

This show came as a bright spot at a dark time for me. During first song, my buddy and I looked at each other. What the hell is that bass that Phil is playing, and why don't we hear two basses, with Mike Gordon onstage? Then we realized - it's a red Strat. Phil is playing GUITAR! And he did, for Like a Rolling Stone and Box of Rain.
GREAT show. Get it!

Huge. Grooves that throb harder than you know who's you know what. Sound quailty is great. Playing is Philnominal. The Little Feat guys are so much fun. I may suffer hearing loss from shows like this one.

I am quite suprised that nobody has comented on the fact that the two best bass players in the business were on stage together (if you don't know, Mike Gordon and Phil Lesh). What a fun show, i especially love the Wolfman's Brother...incredible of phil to throw that in the set...what a class act.

This was such a great show.....my 2nd time at HJK...nice to see a SBD pop up.....I do have a VERY nicely done FOB DFC remastered that sounds like they are playing in your living room or even in the back seat of your car!
It was cool seeing Phil play Strat on Like A Rolling Stone and Box of Rain....

It was so nice to be back at the Kaiser Auditorium and what a bettter way to relive glorious days of that venue than with a Phil show.
This is my favorite lineup for P & F. Those Little Feat guys, along with Robben Ford, could really swing and turn on a dime during jams. This edition reminds me of the '71 era Dead when Keith joined and Hart was out of the band.
This is certainly a 5 star show and one of the best P & F gigs I attended.
