Subject: (First Phil and Friends experience)
This was my first Phil and Friends show (the first time seeing any member of the Dead since Jerry died for that matter).
The quality of the recording is not the best. I recall this show being much more sweet in memory. However, after listening it still does ring true.
Bob Dylan opened. Then Phil and Friends played one long set. The highlights of the show for me were Mountains of the Moon, Darkstar, Crazyfingers and St. Stephen. I took a buddy of mine who is schitzophrenic (literally) and he enjoyed the show. He was even dancing. I never expected to ever hear St. Stephen from any member of the Dead. Maybe my buddy's vibes conjured up some inspiration?
