We will keep fighting for all libraries - stand with us!
Catalyst Radio is a weekly radio show with hostsLinda Gellasch and Denise Cheng that looks at the behind-the-scenes of Rapidian reporting as well as grassroots and nonprofit efforts around the community. The show comprises a media analysis and developments portion, interview segment and calendar of events. You can catch it on air at noon every Friday on WYCE 88.1 FM or streaming on the Grand Rapids Community Media Center Website.
Past Catalyst Radio episodes are archived on The Rapidian.
Sunday Soup committee members Teresa Zbciak and Miriam Slager join us on air. Sunday Soup is a community-based mini-grant that happens on a monthly basis. The community gathers on the last Sunday of each month for a soup potluck. In exchange for $5, each attendee gets to pick a bowl of soup from the selection and is given a vote. As the audience sups, presenters who have applied for the mini-grant give their pitch and then the audience votes on their favorite. The recipient of the most votes gets all the money. In October, Sunday Soup GR was awarded a grant from the International Sunday Soup committee.Â
Music this week is by Petal Shop from their sophomore album, The Scope.
