Some entries are diary-like. Localities include but are not limited to various areas of Cundinarmarca, Santander, Boyaca, Magdalena, Meta, Tolima, Choco, Antioquia, and Caldas. A letter from Tom Bellis (Chemist) to Fred W. Pearman (Chief, Colombian Cinchona Division), subject line "Antioquia Remijia as a possible source of quinidine", is inserted at the beginning of the book. 195 pages of notes
