The History
of Economic Analysis is a major contribution to the History of the World Economic
Thought by the Austrian Economist Joseph Alois Schumpeter (1883-1950).This work
is an amplification of a former work, the Economic Doctrine and Method: An
Historical Sketch, published in 1914. It now provides an almost complete
history of the economic theory, from the Ancient Greeks to the end of the
Second World War. The contents include considerations on the nature and techniques
of economic analysis, contemporaneous developments in other sciences and on the
sociology of economics; it deals not only with the major British economists,
from Adam Smith to Maynard Keynes, but also with continental European
economists, the writings of Plato and Aristotle, and Medieval Scholastics. Tratando
franceses, italianos e medievais. Esta publicacao amplia obra anterior de 1914,
disponivel online: Economic Doctrine and Method, cuja estrutura mantem-se neste
