Just saw RRE for the 3rd time a few nights ago at The Fillmore in San Francisco. This show is wonderful, and I REALLY don't understand the complaint that "potentially" this band could "sell out"....come on...
They are still amazing, they still jam till 1:30 in the morning, and this show, as well as the one I just witnessed, keep me boogieing....going where the climate suits my soul!!!!!

I cannot stop listening to this.
However, it would be nice to have the rest of the show.

Of the RRE shows I've heard and downloaded, this has the best sound quality. Stunning, great stuff.
I wonder, which other RRE shows are taped and mixed at this quality? I'd love to get a hold of them.

I'm just exploring RRE, though I'm familiar with From Good Homes from a decade or so ago. This snippet of a show is good. I wish I knew why the whole show wasn't made available, because that's why I give this 4 and not 5 stars. RRE may be the band to watch, however if they ever get a strong, distinctive vocalist then New Monsoon will just blow everyone away. It would be fun to see RRE and NewMo together. The fusion would be fun...

This is an outstanding performance, the boys were sounding real tight this night with ol Phil. Every time I listen to terrapin and Todd comes in on "inspiration" the chills shoot down the back. This was my first DL of RRE live and since that DL the cd case has gotten very thick, just can't seem to get enough of them live. Many thanks to the tapers and those involved in getting these shows on archive. Special thanks to silentmark a good bit of my favorite shows are from you keep up the work we all benefit from it. Ridin the rails to Philly NYE hope to all my fellow Hobo's.

Bonnaroo Bob don't tweak out, RRE was formed so that "Selling Out" would not happen. Phil is a monster on stage and I think RRE balanced out his vocals and talent. I don't want people to think that we are a bunch of snobs and that we don't want people to listen to this band. I look forward for more people listening to these guy's. I believe that RRE is going to get bigger and bigger and that us fans should welcome anyone who loves the high energy and soulful sounds of this band. Two year's ago I really lost hope in jam music. WSP, Phish, The Dead, and many more lost that musical conversation w/ me. I was just listening to the legends(Grateful Dead,Miles,Newgrass Revival) and then I heard Head, I was like holly @#$% From Good Homes, what the hell happened to these guys. Then soon came to realise that I was listening to RRE. I have been to every Colorado show from that point on and have met more & more wonderful people through this music. Life is a journey that has me asking a lot of Questions along the way. One question has been answered that jam music is not dead and that Railroad Earth has touched me and many others now.

Good show but not nearly as good as 04-15-05. Anyone aware of a recording of that show?

Does anyone else worry about RRE going commercial now, hangin with the stars, losing touch with their roots? First Phil, then Trey, then next it's MTV Cribs or Pimp My Railroad. Don't lose touch, guys!
Anyway, excellent sound, of course, laugh riot on Phil starting off Terrapin, this show is fun, that's all. Five star sound, four star performance, worth the D/L

I'm with Gudaspirit -- 7SM with Phil on bass is simply staggering. The fade-in on Storms is a shame -- it might be the best version I've heard of the song.
I only wish they'd released the whole thing. Ah well, we have the upcoming live album to look forward to!

As usual RRE steps up and knocks one out. Nice that Phil showed up but his singing sucked the energy right outta the room. Someone really needs to muzzle that guy.

This two night run of RRE at The Independent was incredible all around. The first set, which isn't here, before Phil Lesh came out was one of the best sets I've ever seen RRE play. And I've seen them quite a few times!
When Phil hit the stage second set, second song, the energy in the venue was so high that you could feel the static electricity in the room. Listening to this set really brings some of that back. The sound quality is remarkable...like being right there!
The "Seven Story Mountain" with Phil is downright amazing! This is one of my favorite RRE songs, and Phil just adds so much to the mix. There is an up-tempo "FOTD" with Phil singing that's pretty cool, into an intense jam that segues into a beautiful "Terrapin Station." Phil sings the first part, but then Todd steps up for "Inspiration..." and the place goes wild! The set closes with a fantastic "GDTRFB" that also has Vince Herman on one verse.
This is a must have!!!

Subject: Great Night Great Show
Subject: Great Night Great Show
I have seen RRE twice now and both times was at this venue and both times they were fantastic. With Phil joining in it made the night that much better. With that said I want put out there that I think Phil would have been so much better if he would stay away from trying to sing. When he was playing the bass it was energetic to say the least, 7SM was incredible and as soon as Todd took over on vocals for Terripin the place went crazy. They took that song to a whole new level. I would love to see the whole show come up on LMA. Does anyone know if this will happen? I haven't heard the recording of this show yet but I give the concert a 5 plus.
