This is the second of two volumes that document the entomological work of Benjamin Dann Walsh, 1866 - 1869. Contents are similar to volume 1. Inside the front cover is a table of contents indicating which portion of the journal covers each year. Pages are numbered. Entries are dated and describe collected insects with information about location, environment, and appearance. Entries also include drawings and clippings, remedies for harmful insects, references to contacts and correspondents in adjoining states, and an annotated list of Illinois horticulturists. Several entries describe information relating to agricultural crops, flora, and fauna, often citing the source (person or publication)
