Perier's Bellerophon device on t.p. The ill. are close copies of those in the first German ed. (Nuremberg : Hieronymus Andreae, 1528); see Mortimer. Headpiece, historiated and decorated initials
As in the Harvard copy described by Mortimer, there is a cancel on o2v, replacing four diagrams of heads that appear correctly on p2v
Plates and tables included in foliation, the four folded leaves being counted twice

Signatures: A a-l m n o-q r s-t v x (gatherings n and v each have an additional folded, single leaf, signed n2 and v4 respectively, that would raise the leaf count for these gatherings to five)
Mortimer, R. French 16th-cent.
Binding: old (but not original) alum-tawed pigskin, blind-tooled with rolls and fillets in a design of concentric rectangles. One roll has half-figures labeled Davit [sic], Pavlvs, Iohanes, Salvatvr [sic]. Another roll has portrait heads in ovals alternating with coats of arms. Two pairs of holes at foredges for ties
Centered on front pastedown is Giovanni Muzio's etched bookplate, signed in the plate by Giacomo Manzù. Inscription at head of t.p.: Ex Bibliotheca Can: Reg: ad Stum Florianum Ab. 18. Below title on t.p. is another owner's signature: Adami Germanii Notarij Publicj. At lower right-hand corner of t.p. is armorial property stamp in blue ink
