I love seeing old ruins, old ships as the bottom of the sea conjure up heaps of visual emotions. This will also look cool mixed into VJ shows. Would love to see an HD version but you still get my highest rating.

While Part one is still downloading (it is in deed big!) I watched Part 2+3 in the stream and I am getting more and more excited about these scenes. They provide fantastic material to support all who want to save the ocean. To see the tremendous beauty underneath is so important in order to bring the idea of preservation back to the minds of people who look at he ocean only if a tsunami hits!

In my opinion Aqualounge is an absolute unique project, following the footsteps of pioneers like Prof. Hans Hass or Jacques-Yves-Cousteau in bringing pictures back up from the depth of the ocean and documenting the tremendous beauty that is hidden beneath the surface and revealed only to a small number of us. In freely sharing the precious moments that one single Aqualounge-camera-diver has captured over the years, this project surpasses the ideas of the pioneers by far. With oceans in deep trouble it is more important than ever that as many minds as possible understand, what we are about to loose.
The extensive material of Aqualounge is edited in long sequences, away from today guideline: the faster, the better. Much more homogeneous the editor let the screenplay be directed by nature itself. In sometimes longer and sometimes shorter scenes every film seems to be like a good dive should be: A flow in which one does not know what there will be to see; some animals will disappear within seconds upon sighting, others are going to give deep insights in their lifes, but there is always something interesting and / or beautiful waiting around the next corner - every single shot a proof of what godôs nature is capable of.
Aqualounge three - the third hour - takes the viewer in itôs first chapter to dangerous shores and reefs that once ended proud ship's journeys and now give their wrecks a last resting-place. Today overgrown by corals, sponges and algae wrecks are important retreats, habitats and sources of food for great amounts of marine species. In artistic captured pictures the transition of the wrecks is shown from the surface down to the bottom of the sea.
Then the picture-flow turns blue and floats in the vast blue desert of the open ocean, where one observes the aimless life of plankton - like the jelly-fish - and discovers small communities that form under every floating thing that drifts along.
An own chapter was reserved for a clumsy animal, that was more known for a rather boring soup, here showing itself as one of the most graceful inhabitants of the the ocean - the sea-turtle. In an almost zen-like calmness they move weightlessly through the scenes towards a hopefully safe future.
The final chapter shows examples for the first strategy of survival developed on this planet - camouflage. Very interesting shots!
In deed worth the extensive download!

to the members of the diving-community:
there were disturbances due to too much enthusiastic feedback - feel free to leave your thoughts in the guestbook or in the new forum of our homepage http://www.aqualounge.de.vu
there were over 2000 visits on aqualounges web-page in 24 hours - thanks for all the feedback, thanks for the cheers, the appreciation and for the critic aswell (little more constructive would be helpful).
of course i like the film, because it was in deed a lot of work - knowing how much i have to give it five stars, sorry (this is the third of eight hours in this series and we plan to do another eight hours until 2005). all parts are already shown on events and will be downloadable one by one.
a short version of the eight hours compressed into 90 minutes is going to be available AFTER christmas.
aqualounge is a media-experiment and tries to bring the water and itôs ecology closer to the viewer by letting the pictures do their job and it looks promising.
thanks a lot for watching, thinking about and reviewing it at http://www.aqualounge.de.vu
