COPY NOTE: Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) copy Q.401.25 FOLIO: leaves [1]₁ and [37]₁₂ (both blank) wanting. Initial on [1]₄ illuminated, with border of flourishes in blue ink. Twelve- and thirteen-line initials rubricated throughout in blue ink with red flourishes or red ink with purple flourishes. Two-line initials rubricated in alternating red and blue. Foliated in pencil and in early ink in upper right margins. Leaf dimensions: 41 x 28 cm.
PROVENANCE: Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) copy Q.401.25 FOLIO: with autograph of "Michaelis d'Asquier", here conjectured to be Michel D'Asquier (1598-1664), at head of [1]₂ recto. Also at the head of [1]₂: "No 33" in early manuscript. Early marginalia on various leaves. Acquired in Jan. 1953.
BINDING: Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) copy Q.401.25 FOLIO bound in modern vellum. Spine ruled and stamped in gilt.
