This show gets a bit more attention then some of the other '97 shows mostly because a). It's at Wetlands Preserve, and b.) it's a soundboard show. While it's a pretty good sounding show, you can find better AUD shows then this one - for instance 9/16/97. Also the band seemed to have plenty of time to spare so they really stretch things out (for '97 that is), which isn't as great as it might sound. However the highlight of the whole show is the 30 minute "Jam" which shows the band moving into a space rock direction that we will be hearing plenty of in the future. Interesting show...but yeah a bit long.

early bisco shows like this are imo the height of the disco biscuits. i do like their developement into a more techno-ish jamband but their early jazz influence is much better than the music they play now. still good though. good sound quality and nice set

Yeah, its fun to listen to some of their early stuff. They had a more jazzy/bluesy feel at times, with alot more guitar noodling. But hearing them develope into the raging e-tron jams is fresh and exiting. The jamming is maybe a bit looser and free for all. Actually this show has very little techno-ish jams, so thats why its a 3 star. The jamming has more organ than synth, and the drums are more jazzy and less e-tron. But they really have an energetic improv thing going on.
