Subject: Another solid show from a classic run!

The Biscuits were really on the top of their game in the '99 and this show is no exception. As the previous reviewer mentioned, this show gets lost in the shuffle but is definitely unique and worth the listen.
I was fortunate enough to be at this show and the vibe was really great, as is often the case on a Friday night in early fall in Eugene, OR. Everybody was dancing and bouncing around and the Biscuits were themselves in great spirits, as you can hear from this show. It's pretty high energy from start to finish.
It's interesting because the next night, the famous Arcata show, is more renowned, but I think this show may be stronger from start-to-finish. The Arcata show takes the whole first set to really get going and then they blow the house up in that memorable second set. But the boys were talking about how tired they were before the show and I even remember some of them saying they didn't have much left in the tank and were happy they'd have a short break afterwards.
Last, the start of the second set has a funny bit with Brownie inquiring if there really was a girl named Amelia who was having a birthday. On the tape, we don't get a confirmation of whether he found out for sure (he begs to see her driver's license), but I suppose the fact that they played "Jamilia" but changed the words to "Amelia" means they answer was they found her. I often wonder how she reacted when she heard the words to that song! (I can't speak from first-hand on this one as I was late getting back from a set break smoke-out in the hotel room I had with several friends across the street).
I've gone on long enough---enjoy this one!

.. don't hear this show mention muched.. i was drawn to the fact that the thieving magpie was played 4 times. second set is awesome, morph > RLH hits a great peak as does the shimmy with barber 99tone goodness.. the shimmy > the thieving magpie features brownstein and barber arguing over weather Rossini's magpie is better then jon gutwillig's shimmy, pretty funny.. and the jam of shimmy > the thieving magpie is pure evil biscuits with brownie throwing out some bass bombs.. well worth the listen for that alone
