Subject: My first show!
Subject: My first show!
And the first show with the guy who should have been the bass player for the Disco Biscuits for the next 12 years.
Oh don't frown at me like that. You're really going to miss "Heady Banter" that much? OK.
This show is so hit or miss, the parts with Barber on bass are all misses. The parts with Jordan on bass or Sammy on bass are awesome. Check out the Boop, Jordan announces his arrival in a major way.
The encore cranks pretty hard in a 99ish way.
I'll give this show 1 star but it's really a 3 or so. What it isn't, is a 5 star show yet people can't help themselves from giving shit 5 stars.
The Sven and Helix->Waves and first Boop jam would have to go on the 3 disc Best Of The Triscuits boxset if they ever made one, but if you're peeping for Triscuits, 6/27/00 and 7/12/00 are the only way to go. 2 of the best shows of all time, regardless of who is on bass.

Its crazy and dark. Some of the live drumming is just over the top and innovative. The drum machine tracks from this era are always cool too, but when the live drummer comes on it is just amazing. The jungle style jams are very aggresive and the bass is at times really fat, I think they were on to somthing here.
