Fever - Hmm. Who knew they could write rock songs? Pretty cool song. No jam, so it doesn't matter. Meh.
Home Again - There's actually a really awesome type II jam in this Home Again. It sounds kind of the way that a MEMPHIS first jam should always soud. Spacey with trip-hoppish drums and repeated Barber riffs. Really well played.
Ladies > Pygmy > Safety > Ladies - Ladies starts out very good. Barber comes up with a REALLY catchy melodic hook that he fits into the jam perfectly. There's some really cool back and forth stuff from Barber/Magner, and Sammy does a great job of keeping the beat switched up. Really interesting jam here, and it does a great job of not getting old too quickly. About 4 minutes or so from the switch to Pygmy, they go very major key, and for a little bit it's just some Barber noodling. Most of the major key portion is uneventful, but the last minute or so is really cool, and they almost get ambient for a minute. The Pygmy jam is really dark, but doesn't really go anywhere at all. Since this was their first time playing Safety Dance, my guess is they were trying to figure out how to get into the song via a segue. Unfortunately, this jam gets old real quick. The cool part comes around 6:10 or so. Magner is playing this weird synth that makes the music incredibly psychedelic. Unfortunately they back off from that right away and let the pretty major key bliss stuff shine through. The blissed stuff lasts a minute or so and then they segue into Safety Dance. The jam out of Safety Dance is pretty boring for a bit, but they pick up the tempo and things start getting more interesting. At 9:09 what they're doing is really cool and just a sick house groove. They wind up turning this into a really really awesome Ladies peak. Barber is a maniac for a good portion of this.
In the Meantime - Meh.
Resolution - Meh.
Therapy - Meh.
Triumph > Vassillios > Ah Moshi Moshi > Vassillios > Triumph > Dazed and Confused - The Triumph jam starts out pretty bland, and it takes Brownstein a while to get away from the Triumph progression, but finally he manages to. There's some pretty dark playing here, but it takes them a while to get locked in. I don't know that I'd call this "dirty" playing, but it's certainly interesting. Once they are finally locked in this is a really cool jam, especially everything that Magner and Brownstein are doing. Really great job of building an improvised peak. The Vassillios jam is pretty boring, doesn't really go anywhere. The Ah Moshi-Moshi Jam is pretty cool, with some parts being more interesting than others. Once they get out of the MM jam, Barber and Brownstein come back in and they get into this pretty cool trance jam right away. After a bit, it becomes less and less interesting, they never actually come back to Vassillios. I'm not sure why, but I never heard them return to any part of Vassillios at any point. In fact, the whole "Vassillios" track seems to be one long build back into Triumph. Parts of this jam are very good, but other parts seem to drag on a bit.
World is Spinning - Meh.
Story - Jam starts out with some bluesy guitar from Barber, but they're not really doing much theme-building. Magner takes over about nine minutes from the end, and he's got this really eerie space theme going. Barber winds up playing some really phrygian sounding stuff later on, but overall this jam doesn't do a whole lot for me other than being a fun dancy Story.
Six "Meh"s in one show is not normally good. Home Again, Ladies, Safety Dance, Triumph, Moshi-Moshi, are all pretty cool, but 5 covers and 3 jamless versions of their own songs, plus the boringness of Pygmy and Vassillios make it pretty difficult for me to vote anything other than 4 stars on principle alone. Lots of fantastic jams, but simply too much filler.

IMO, Fever to open this show is one of the best debutes of a song ever, maybe just because i was front row, but i mean, wow, fucking ROCKED, and still does on disc.
the jam out of triumph into dazed and confused is easily one of the dirtiest jams i have heard from the big 0h 3
The story of the world is BEST EVER.
great great show
