Subject: Just when you think tDB sucks at encores
Because they just encored with Lithium or something on the second night. You missed the first night but the setlist was brutally awesome and they had busted out two songs you had been waiting years to see again. Then you waited around to see if they played something else. You get outside and everyone who bailed on the encore got all the cabs! Ah, smart move. I'll do that the next night.
So the next night, encore break, you make your dash. You open up the side door and see glorious cabs all over the place. You let the door close behind you. And then you hear the first notes of Down To The Bottom. Played 2 nights earlier at the same venue. Other than that? First time in 3 years. Then you bitch the entire way to the hotel. And you find out later that they sandwiched Gangster in the middle, and played the DTTB ending which you had assumed was as gone-for-good as the Sound 1 ending which only lived in September 2001.
Don't sleep. You have no idea how many people left the show on NYE Run 04 when they started playing Eulogy after a mediocre show. People were SPRINTING for the doors to get out of there. Then oh what's this? Is this a fucking BASIS INTRO? Isn't it CURFEW ALREADY?! *cut forward 15 minutes or so* ARE THEY GOING INTO THE ENDING OF DAVID FUCKING BOWIE RIGHT NOW?! oh. They aren't? damn. sure sounded like it! you can't blame me for hearing it! it was there!

Having attended the show, the highlights for me were the Lunar opener and the Triumph.
To the other posters, what's the sense in gettin gupst about the encores? Name the last good encore tDB played. They're all pretty brutal.

I have been to 50+ biscuits shows. The highlight for me was this opening NEW song. I was in esctasy, (and no, not the drug!) It started off with a bang, went out with a boo. NO MORE CLASSIC ROCK COVERSS!!!

This was my first biscutis show and as they say definately not my last. I just graduated from school at URI and had seen several shows at Lupo's, this was one of the best. The venue gets great bands who normally put on nice shows(eg Keller, Umph, Bobby) The problem for me is usually the crowd either too empty or just not feelin the show. This show was an exception, the crowd was feelin nice bouncin around the entire time. First set brought the beats hard smooth intro to what was to come for the second set which completely rocked out. The band came out strong for the 2nd set I even saw Jon clench his fist and say play hard to the rest of the guys, and they did. 10 ton quick start through Oname-awesome. And the ladies was the highlight for me as well but Safety Dance is just such a happy song left the crowd smiling. All in all four stars for the show.

Subject: Not a Good Show
Subject: Not a Good Show
So it had been a couple years since I had seen the biscuits but this was easily the worst show I have ever seen. Songs of Joy has got to go...what a horrible way to close out a set. Triumph-->Ladies-->Balloon was the highlight of the show by far.
Wet is not a great encore (I don't get playing a song that starts and stops for an encore...)
I looked at the other setlists from the run and they looked better on paper I thought...oh well...next time
