Was a great show, Warren was awesome, they pulled out all the stops for the hometown crowd, I wish this show had of been after The Gorge show, the atmosphere at the Gorge show was better but the Gorge was a sleeper show.

it only takes about one second to hear that bob weir loves every song he's singing. it sounds like somebody singing the songs one of their best friends used to sing (and not in a sad way). the whole damn band is absolutely loving every second of this show. and so is the audience. and so was i. and everybody i was with. and everybody that's lucky enough to hear this stuff on the internet. except for like 40 people. most of which feel the need to write the reviews lol

Another stellar A+ recording. Another stellar Shoreline show, two hot nights, in '09, each having its own atmosphere and character.
A great setlist and as for Bob Weir I think he does Jerry-tunes just the right way, making them his own and singing them with reverence and passion. He's part of these songs, and was (and is) an essential part of The (Grateful) Dead.

Sounds great! Love the Telefunken. Thanks again for your help, T.F, taping ABB the night before at the Fox [tape, space, guarding and tolerance when things got ugly-when vertical became horizontal :0)

just gotta grin at the reviews , jerry passed on last millenium, as for how songs are meant to be sung, why not ask the songwriter? Or can you no longer hear the song , only the singer?

Subject: Weir & Jerry tunes
Give it up Weir! You CANNOT sing Jerry tunes. The cadences you use don't work on these tunes. You rush the lyrics and do not put the heart & emotion in it that Jerry did. Do us all a favor...let Warren sing them instead. He comes a lot closer to what they should sound like, you are light years away!! The rating is for Weir's singing of Jerry tunes. I was at both Shoreline shows and the Jerry tunes were best when Warren sang them. Thank God they let Warren sing Morning Dew. Weir ruined it at MSG in New York a few weeks earlier.
