Out of the blue, this rather short show offers surprises from the ten minute Jack Straw through the rocking' Estimated and a promising Sugaree (great until the superb jam runs out of gas), a really nice Lady with a Fan > Terrapin Station, and all the way to the end with a wonderful Morning Dew and a beautiful version of Brokedown Palace.
Check it out, it's free! And the sound is clear and audience noise is low enough to make it sound like a matrix!

Philadelphia always was a gas back in the 80s when you’d hop On the turnpike after the MSG shows to catch some electricity.
This is listening to be a keeper of a show. Gotta love these guys for the innovation of the 21st century.. yes…I’m talking about the 10-14 minute Jack Straw.
These shows are rare. When they stop being a GD cover band and become their own thing.
Can’t wait for these Midwest shows.
So here’s to you Philadelphia. You deserved this memorable show under unfavorable weather conditions and the fan death at Citi.
There is no greater example of Bob’s unique playing than on Terrapin. His palm muting technique is the same technique used by Slayer of heavy metal fame. And that off beat timing with the way he lifts his fingers off the string to let it ring out…that’s straight up reggae.
Still unique. John’s fingers are so strong. Not a hollow sounding note played to a stadium

Been seeing Dead musicians since my first show Phil and Friends in 2002 at 15. seen all reincarnations of the Grateful Dead and then some. I was a Mayer hater for awhile still seeing them but last night he amazed me. the tempo wasnt as slow as usual. actually kept my attention. One Love. love you all brothers and sisters see you in HERSHEY

This is a top 3 Dead & Co show for me. Between the stellar Morning Dew, the electric atmosphere in the rain, the sweet and jazzy intro to Jack Straw (Philly crowd going nuts from “the eagles fill the sky”), the awesome Estimated, and wow what a Terrapin. And to wrap it up the boys ripped my heart out with that Brokedown. Love this show and thank you for putting it up so quickly do I can relive it.

This was a roaster of a show from start to finish. A litle rain added to the festivities, and the Sugaree and Morning Dew were smokin' hot! Philly has always been a hotbed for the boys, I never saw a bad show there.....THANKS to the tapers for getting this show up so fast.
