Subject: It was a good night...
The crowd and band energy was awesome, best energy and cohesion between band members in a long time. Watch out for this second set. The jamming is actually good and had a direction. Imagine that!
Show stopper of the night was for me was the King Solomon’s Marbles. The interaction between Russo and Phil was incredible, electric. They were constantly testing one another and laughing and digging right in. Russo would up the beat to a really fast tempo then look at Phil like: ‘how bout this, can you hang with this beat?’ Then Phil just came in heavy and on point with the fastest notes I have seen him play in a while, then shot back a look at Russo like: ‘take that!’ Russo smiled again and the interplay continued. This one moment was the price of admission. I haven’t seen Phil that charged up and happy at the same time in a while.
Just all around good vibes here…
Thanks for posting the recording!
