Great show!
I think the soundboard (SBD) sounds better than the FM or Pre-FM reel. But both are great.
Highlight is the Truckin > TOO segment. I think Morning Dew is not as strong as priors. The TOO is just off the charts and OFF THE HOOK. In the Hall of The Other One, this is in the Top 5 of all time, and the other 4 in no particular order are
1972-09-17
1974-06-18
1972-08-25
1972-04-26 (which competes with 1972-05-03 for entry into this top 5)

flashback
to cap off a year that saw them leap foward in terms of their music style, this show took a step back to their ballroom days with the heavier sound that's mor reminincent 0f the 68-69 era. this is especially so in the long jams of "the other one". and surprising, david crosby sound comes through on "morning dew" the band actually lets crosby sets the pace of the song rather than let him strum along with the traditional arrangemnet.
great sound

I wuz there
A fantastic evening for a 15 yr old who lived in a foster home. Tripped all night to dawn and then some. My cousin bailed me out of the #%&*@ and allowed me some dignity. We went to Mt Tam for the sunrise... what a night, what a wonderful group of people and culture! I am writing this before I listen and I hope the archive gives a good recollection. And yes my cousin bailed me for the 1971 Winterland News Years bash as well. I remember midnight when the black guy and white guy came down on the ropes and danced. Those events formed my foundation and it's not built on sand.
