I look for clues for quality of the recording
and stories of people who were there-
many opinions- are amusing
not so much with yours-
yet another long winded 'sermon' from c-f
dried-up bumper sticker slogans
about your vaguely conceived/perceived Jesus
"May the baby Jesus open your mind
and shut your mouth."
-take a pause for your cause
or at least, condense your hyperbole
to 'fan' stuff

What you and I do with that gift is what we will see judgment day.
It is like a turnstile , one at a time before The Maker.
Only Caveat by the works of our own hands
"THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NO NOT ONE"
So the song goes:
"Oh, sinning is a gentilized journey
Take Jesus as your daily guide
Though you may feel pure and saintly
Without Him walking by your side
And when you come to make your crossing
At the end of the pilgrim's way
If you ever will meet your Savior
You will surely meet Him on that day
Now look at that cold Jordan
Look at its deep water
Look at that wide river
Oh, heavy mighty billows roll
You better take Jesus with you
He's a true companion
Oh, I'm sure without Him
That you never will make it home
That awful day of judgment
Is coming in the by and by
We'll see our Lord descending
In the glory from on high
Oh, let us get in touch with Jesus
And in the special love of God
And maybe ever get ready
When he comes on Jordan's tide
Now look at that cold Jordan
Look at its deep water
Look at that wide river
Oh, heavy mighty billows roll
You better take Jesus with you
He's a true companion
Oh, I'm sure without Him that
You never will make it home
Now what you gonna do?
Oh, what you gonna say?
Oh, how you gonna feel
When you come to the end of the way?"
BLUES FOR ALLAH review
Help >Slip - freshly minted in 75
and playing it in Lindley Meadows!
"Doctor in the house"
"Woman having a baby"
Panic in the typical city (involved in a typical daydream)
nothing but a celebration in GD land.
Music-The line that Donna gets in Music is a serious showstopper
A great sign of things to come for Donna Jean
FRANKLIN'S- I don't consider it going out on a limb to say
this is one of my favorite versions of Franklin's Tower.
The Band is in the sweet spot
The HEADS are just losing it big time
When they get to the call and response it is best ever
There is a brother egging the band on ever so briefly but powerfully
I just love that moment!
And a word about this Recording:
Pretty unique perspective on a show here.
I would call this varying from side stage to right in the pit.
The BIODTL gives a glimpse of that Donna/ Bob chemistry.
Also an excellent BIG RIVER.
IMHBTR-one of Garcia's sweeter ballads that blooms real nice here
Hear that Donna/ Jerry connection.
My opinion
Not a concert for the band but this is like playing at a block party.
Everything is cool, time to just relax and let loose and that begins at Truckin that is the jump off. (coming at you)
Not sure where this ranks in the vastness of GD universe
but it is certainly one of the best close up tight in the brain stem audience band experiences ever.
and by the time they hit GDTRFB,,, my oh my!
Saturday Night just icing on the SF Golden Gate rock n roll cake.
"Let's have another party like this again sometime"
CALL IT BACK , YOU NEVER WILL
Hey Brother J --Good Call on 9/27/72
Subject: Great... but not GREAT!
Subject: 1975
Subject: Sunny Place, Sunny Place... It's your wife that's having the baby.
* Though the perfect 45 minute sequence from 6-24-70 that filled many a cassette will always remain a favorite... sure wish a board existed!
