Set 1: The Promised Land ; Tennessee Jed ; Jack Straw ; Dire Wolf ; Looks Like Rain ; Loser ; New Minglewood Blues ; They Love Each Other ; The Music Never Stopped
Set 2: Bertha > Good Lovin' ; Friend Of The Devil ; Estimated Prophet > Eyes Of The World > Drums > Not Fade Away > Black Peter > Not Fade Away > Around And Around
Encore: Uncle John's Band
Notes: I got this show on CDRs several years back in a trade. I have no info about the source.
I performed no processing on these except to convert the wave files to SHN using the MKW
compression tool.
Most of They Love Each Other is missing and it is joined in progress. There is a small
chunk of Friend of the Devil missing in the middle of the song as well.
There also is a noticeable splice at the head of Black Peter (from another source?).
Finally, the encore, Uncle John's Band cuts near the end of the song.
I don't know that this show circulates much and I haven't seen it anywhere on DIME.
Part of this show was broadcast on The King Biscuit Flour Hour way back when.
Despite the above flaws, it's another great 1977 show and sounds very good;
a hilight being when the band comes out of Black Peter and goes into overdrive for
the Not Fade Away reprise.
If anyone has any more info or a more complete version of this, please post it.

It's a hoax alright
The Eyes is from 10/29/77. There's probably more from other dates but I found this right away, as I've seen this fakery before.

confused
I don't know when this is from, but the Looks Like Rain for sure is not from the same Tempe King Biscuit Flower Hour. I know that version by heart and this is most definitely different. Check the other versions and it's clearly not the same. So I'm baffled, because the song list seems to make sense. It's not and all, but it's most definitely not the right show.

Very Nice Find- Rare Peter
I will be brief as it's not an overly complex show to review. Its got a very standard second set for the time period- except for the presence fo Black peter. Its a surprise actually. Black peter was played a lot in the early '70-'71 period- 41 times in 1970 infact. But it was played alarmingly sparsely- only 13- from '72-'74 an it was not played in '76. It took most of 1977 for Black peter to make its appearance on a set list sice 1974 (10-1-77)- this show is the second Black Peter in 3 years and only the 15th since 1972. They would do it several more times until 11/1/77 then play it to exaustion for most of the rest of their career. It was done 97 times from '79-82. Towards the end of their career it was done only several times per year from '92-'95.
So this NFA>BP>NFA is a treat indeed. That said- its an average version of the song. I love the rather lengthy estimated...nice post jam jazz spacey jam. The fist set features a raucus 'music' to close. A very nice show indeed! Ever song has the band 'on' and interested.

The mystery continues...
At least 'hoax' is in the keywords! Based on the song length [min, sec] alone, this appears to be little different from the other composites claiming to be this show. The only noticeable difference in song length (not explained by tracking) is Black Peter, where Mr. O'Neil discloses that there is a splice...likely the same splice that is referenced in other composites where the Black Peter > NFA > Around is about the only part of the composite certain to be from the ASU show.
If anyone has solved this mystery, even if it means that only three songs were ever memorialized from this show, those of us that worship all that is 1977 GD need to know the truth. Peace.
