What An Eyes!!!
As cheerful - no, joyful - as they come, even with a bout of gleeful laughter at the end of the first refrain!
Jerry just loved Eyes, according to his primary biographer (Blair Jackson), and, even in the last desperate year of the band, it was one of the songs that remained fresh and inventive as ever.

lovely sounding show
Great China Cat, Eyes, and Space. Amazing how quickly Brent Mydland "clicked" musically w. these guys! '79 was a year w. some really nice shows!

Music Never Stopped!
Best version ever? Perhaps... certainly the most Jerry fanning at the end I've eve heard. Those Phil comments are right on. I agree about the awesome-ness of the China>Rider, Eyes, too.

thanks for the good work, i love getting indiana shows, because, seemingly, dead-shows and blind melon are some of the only cool things to have ever happened here :) lol

Phil!
Second set is a must for any Phil freak. He's out front in the mix and bouncing all over the place. As a result the China->Rider, Eyes sequence is just freakin' sublime. Plus, Jerry's havin' a damn fine night as well.
Phil on + Jerry on = monster show.
Sound quality wavers from three and a half stars at the beginning of set one to a full four stars by mid set two. Thanks to Charlie Miller for all he does.
