I think this is a really underrated show. The Jack Straw, Peggy-O, Birdsong, Playin', NFA, and Sugar Mag. are all among my favorite versions, with Peggy-O and Sugar Mag. currently topping any other version I can think of. The China-->Rider isn't far behind either.
@WHEEL1 --
Yep. I remember seeing Hell's Angels at the gate I went in. You are correct and brentmydland7990 is wrong.
It was a killer show.
@Wastrel Way -- I don't recall parachutists at this one, but I do the next year, 7/31/82. The fireworks were cool, especially entertaining . . . .

I've been trying to get a good sounding copy of this show for 25 years, now...
The second set has such an odd vibe to it... I'm thinking a good time was had by a LOT of folks there.... A long, long crazy, crazy night...
Subject: ....Tea for Texas
***EDIT*** It just dawned on me that perhaps Bob confused the "Leaving Texas..." line with the "Tea for Texas" line from New Minglewood.
Brent is really lighting it up, love the keys rollin in Me and My Uncle, and the solo in Big River, man oh man.
Lots of energy in this show and the sound is excellent.
Thank you Charlie for all that you've done and continue to do.
