1st show was Duke 1978. What a wonderful campus. Gorgeous! At this show I finally connected with my future wife and danced all show. Good times. The GD rocked all of 1982. Next day off to Norfolk!

What a joy
This was my first Dead show, and my friend Sandy took me to it. We came down from NJ to see the show, and it was still cold up in the northeast, but I remember as the miles flew south, the temperature kept beginning to rise. This began a a fateful (or grateful) feeling of wonderful anticipation in the years to come, as winter lead to spring, and east coast spring tour took us south again, year after year, where we shook off the cold rain and snow, and anticipated the summer soon to be here.

I thought Bobby pulled all soundboards from archive. Why can we still dl the mp3's of this show (not this version the other 04/02/82)? Do I have to rate this in order to post my comment....ehhhh they're all five stars.

SPRING TOUR
What a beautiful Spring day it was and what a great way to see the beautiful (Gray Gothic) Duke University for the first time. Blue Devils ... is that an oxymoron? A pretty shade of blue. It matched the sky. It seemed as if time stood still. Thanks for letting me hear it again ... twenty-six years ago!
