I have to agree with bkb-slh's review along with the rest of the gang - The Behind Stage sound is better than the Glassberg audience I've had for a number of years. With all the superlatives I gave it back then, I think this upload is even better. I also prefer it over the matrix, which is a rarity these days, with matrixes getting better and better in production. The board isn't very good, and nothing Hunter could do with his tricks was going to change that. Kickass show too.

Subject: Great sound, great 2nd set
I'll go along with the previous reviews regarding the sound quality; it's not quite as up-front as I'd prefer, but there's plenty of reverb which adds depth & warmth to the rather thin & tinny sound the band had at the time (particularly in the vocals) and would have for some time to come. "Two AUDs matrix", anyone? :-)
....not to mention that, rather than seeking this show out simply for the novelty of the "Earthquake Space", those unfamiliar with it should give a listen to the 2nd set in particular 'cause it really shines. The band is playing with more patience than was usual for the time, with all-ears-open and loads of true inspiration. Really good stuff for the period!

I also like the different sound of this recording from the other audiences.Being biased towards the drums, the snares have a lot more depth here than out front. Also less crowd!
