and for the most part well played with the highlight being the Playing, China, High Time, but nothing over the top. Worth the spin.

1st Spring show as a young up and coming Deadhead still in high school. The weather was much like today in the northeast! It's really all about the 2nd set! So tight! So beautifully played! Lovely recording as well! Mike James / Matt Flynn - where are you boyz? stonekoalaproductions@gmail.com

Pretty good sound, awesome Althea. The whole show is patchy.

Some realy special moments - some not so special. Catching the Playing> China Doll > High Time from behind the drums blew me away.

Providence to me was the highlight of the tour, though the whole tour was one of my favorites. I think what did it was when the band played "The Music Never Stopped". The band seemed to take an interesting turn and Jerry played a little longer than usual. The drumming during the jam section did something to me that had never happened to me before: I finally lost sense of time and for a moment thought I understood infinity. In this case there was just something about the drumming.
This was a tour where opium was around, though not quite pevasive. Anyone remember? The month hadnt been too good, as Marvin Gaye had recently been killed.
The Rhode Island Police were mounted on their horses, INSIDE the center.
I stayed with friends at a hotel outside of town where somebody had his Firebird or Camaro stolen. The car was souped up and worth like 16K at the time.
This was the second night of two shows. In many ways, I thought the band was at their finest.
