Subject: My Birthday Show!
Subject: My Birthday Show!
I have to give this show five stars because it was recorded on the day I was born!
It's quite a surreal experience to listen to my favorite band play on my actual, year-to-date birthday. I can't help but wonder if the band had any idea that a person to whom their music would mean so much was lying in a incubator a few hundred miles down the coast.
Anyone who does some simple math can figure out that I never got to see the Dead live (I have tickets to Furthur's July show in Alpharetta though...next best thing, right?) and so access to these live recordings is particularly special to me and other fans my age. I can't elaborate enough on the appreciation I have for the tapers who worked tirelessly to preserve this wonderful music through time so that it can be enjoyed into posterity and to archive.org for making it so readily available. Thank you, thank you, thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
All the "senior" Heads can sleep well at night knowing that as long as their is a breath in my body this band's legacy will live on...Grateful we grow and Further we go!
