My First Post-Mydland Show
This was my first show post Mydland. My last show with Mydland was the summer before on 6/16/90 (the year I graduated high school), in which the band decided to put out View From The Vault III of that show. Not a bad show to see Mydland for the last time. One of the best China Dolls I've ever heard, even beats many 70's version with that sweet solo (the version I will have played at my funeral memorial).
My first time seeing Hornsby on grand piano. I was not dissapionted. I really missed the interplay between Jerry and Bruce during that last "golden era" of Dead shows. After the Halloween 1991 Oakland show with Kesey and Santana (I was there ), I believe it marked the beginning for the gradual decline of the Grateful Dead.
Anyhow, this show is worth a listen. Not the best, but above average. I personally enjoyed the jams in Feel Like A Stranger...

GD 90
I had just completed the entire Europe 90' Tour, and was too broke to go to these shows.I look at this period of the Grateful Dead as the "wounded gull" years.A little bit off in flight, but still able to SOAR.Thank you again Charlie Miller ! #dontletgo

Misleading setlist.
As I looked upon the setlist of this show (first set in particular) I figured it couldn't miss. How wrong I was. This show is painful to listen to. The boys sound like they are there to fulfill an obligation and collect a paycheck and nothing more. This one-star shows gets two from me, just for "Stander". It speaks volumes when a Hornsby song is the one and only highlight of a show. This is 156 minutes of my life I will never get back...

Hard
So hard to listen to this. I feel like I'm listening to someone I love try and do something that they love and they just cant anymore. Sorry Jer, man. We took it all.....

Just Prior To China Cat -- Overnite Deliv'ry
Weir says, "How 'bout them Niners?"
All in all, highly adequately enjoyable evening of fine recording technique. This representation is harmonically sound.
The band mailed it in, yet the mail was well dispatched. Overnight delivery.
Personally like Bruce and Vince, both singing and playing, on this performance. They are nicely prominent in the mix. Gives Jerry room to launch chords lustrous.
Could have easily attended this show but was too lazy. Now glad I wasn't there, 'cuz, hear am i.
Sometimes I think Dan Healy was funking with the P.A. feed. There is an inexplicable in and out of the sound in certain portions of the first set.

Sublime show, only U.S. Stander
Great shew. Vince up a little high in the mix for my liking the only minus.
Also the only stateside playing of "Stander" ... its a shame they ditched it, it is a majestic song, and Jerry was just beginning to turn the corner with it.
