Great bass adjust
This is a great show no matter what the source but Charlie Miller did a great job of bringing out the bottom end on the recording. The top sound board was completely devoid of Phil. This sounds fantastic on my stereo.

bread crumb
Very cool "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" riff from Phil, I think, during space.

Walk on
This 3 night run was very good musically.
-This night they closed the first 1st with the Hornsby tune "Valley Road" which is dead to the core.
VALLEY ROAD
Sometimes I lead, sometimes I follow
This time I'll go where she wants me to go
She said maybe today, maybe tomorrow
Go deep in the woods down the low valley road
While no one was lookin' on the old plantation
He took her all the way down the long valley road
They sent her away not too much later
And left him walking down the old valley road
Walk on, walk on alone
Walk on, walk on, walk on alone
Out in the hall they were talking in a whisper
Everybody noticed she was gone awhile
Somebody said she's gone to her sister's
But everybody knew what they were talking about
While no one was lookin' on the old plantation
He showed her what they do down the long valley road
She came back around like nothing really happened
And left him standing on the old valley road
Walk on, walk on alone
Walk on, walk on, walk on alone
Standing like a stone on the old plantation
The rich old man would have never let him in
Good enough to hire not good enough to marry
When it all happens nobody wins
Walk on, walk on alone
Walk on, walk on, walk on alone

All I Know Only This I've Got You Today....
CHARLIE MILLER !!! You are our God !
You have NO idea how many trips you've launched !
As opposed to Weir who's being a dick about the whole thing, YOU have shown the 1,000's of folks who never got to see a Dead show how amazing it was.....
Words are not enough, but THANK YOU !!!!!

If You Like Phil...
... and his Aural Exciter; an inboard effect he eventually abandoned (but I wish he'd have kept ~ 'cause I don't hear the same immaculate bass guitar tone when I hear him today)...another typical show of that era, the most profound era in this band's history: the combination of great sound and precious recordings coupled with adequately accomplished performances.
Even the drum solos knock you out. Every note sounds like it's graphed.
10 of 5 star rating.
