I sure wish the sbd of this show would turn up, with this aud a nice matrix could be made. The sbd's of this era tend to be sterile but the combo would be really sweet. I was at this show and it's always been a favorite.
Anyway, this recording is much better than the other that is available, and the show is a must listen for anyone who thinks there were no good shows in the 90's. This one smokes from top to bottom. The boys had just had a month off from touring, and had been working up some new material, so they are obviously excited to be playing...the rare Bertha->Greatest opener is really tightly played, it's hard to believe they got so loose within a year. Early '93 was Jerry's last rally before the final decline.
We're treated to 3 new tunes, IMO some of the better late era material: "Lazy River Road" is not the best ever (Jerry stumbles over one verse), but the "Eternity" is really well played (you'll hear a gal near the mic express her enthusiasm for it when they bring it to the end), and probably one of the best versions of "Liberty". 5 stars for sound quality, 5 stars for new songs, 5 stars for energy, 4 stars for lyrical accuracy he-he...

I woke up that morning in Yosemite, one of the greatest places on earth, and drove all day down to Oakland to catch the show. So glad I did. To catch several new tunes being played the first time was well worth it. IMO that Liberty is the best ever..that alone makes this show a 4 star, and one of the few bright spots of any of the 94 shows.
